I can't say enough good things about this product. I received my Biotica800 on Friday and have had it on since it arrived. I suffer from seasonal allergies - every season - in AZ. I also have one of five dogs that suffers from allergies as well. Before the unit arrived, I thoroughly cleaned our house. I placed the unit in my master bedroom and noticed a difference in one day. It makes a small noise for about 10-15 seconds when it disperses the probiotics once every 70 minutes. I don't even hear it at night. I became so interested in this way of defeating allergens in the home, I called BetterAir. I became better educated on this process, and it is for sure the air purifier for us. When speaking with their representative I learned they have bigger units you can purchase from them or from other companies who sell their products. They have HVAC units as well and also a unit that will cover 2500 square feet. I have a 2200 sq. foot home, and the way it is laid out we decided it was best for me to have two more of the smaller units. I unfortunately have two HVAC systems, so that made that option cost prohibitive. If you are truly interested in changing your indoor air, if you purchase from Amazon you get a 25% discount if you buy more than one unit. You also get a discount if you order more than one directly from the company. Amazon now has the cartridges for the Biotica800 for purchase; however, if you order them directly from the company and get them via autoship, they are $79.16 for two rather than $98 for two. The company also has aerosol sprays, and I was informed they are soon coming out with a pet line. My sinuses, as well as my pup's, are better already. And although this unit won't "clean" your house, I have already noticed a reduction in dust. I am really happy I took the time to call the company and get educated. I want clean air inside for all of us and this system will now help us get there.

UPDATE (Jan. 27, 2020): I can no longer recommend this device. The replacement that I was sent is no longer dispensing the probiotic. It just hisses and sounds like it is struggling. I even replaced the probiotic cartridge with a new one and it is doing the same thing. I love the concept of dispensing probiotics in the air and I do hope they come out with a better device that works properly for a very long time. But, again, at this time I can no longer recommend this product to anyone. Definitely save your money!UPDATE (11/30/2019): I reached out to BetterAir, directly, about my device not working properly. I was sent a brand new Biotica800 with a new refill and some Biotica Test paper strips. The replacement was sent to me quickly. I was very happy with the customer service I received. I'm hoping the device will continue to work. I will update my review again.Original Post:I have had my Biotica800 for almost 1 year and paid $399.99. At first, I LOVED it! It worked great with the probiotics that came with the device. But, when it came to getting refills, they never worked. The refills were shipped in the hot months of summer in Virginia Beach, but it was not shipped in an insulated bag to keep the item cool. I did contact BetterAir about the refill and they sent me another one and that one did not work either, so I have to contact them about the refill not working to see if maybe it is my device or maybe I need a new probiotic cartridge. So, my device is sitting here unused. I just recently saw that they no longer sell single refills, but two packs only. The refills are pricey and there are no guarantees that they will work once you get them. I love the concept of the Biotica800, but there are some things that need to be worked out in order for it to be an effective device. At this time, I cannot recommend this item.

This is small and quiet. Nice design.I have used it for only three days and my night time allergies are greatly reduced.I liked this product so much that I purchased a second unit for another area in my home. Had to return first unit as it just stopped working. Second unit worked about six weeks then quit just after return period. At the price this is really a waste of money since they seem to be defective.

After years of waking up slightly congested, the Biotica 800 made a huge difference in my ability to breathe easily and sleep better through the night. Sleek and beautiful design -- which is important to me -- it is a huge improvement to ugly large humidifiers and air filters.

Bought two of these units from Amazon both of which stopped working within six months. Contacted Betterair customer service which was very helpful and they replaced both units stating that they had had a manufacturing issue with a batch of Biotica 800 unitsHowever both the replacement units have now both stopped working and just making a mechanical whirring sound instead of the hissing sound the units should make when dispensing liquid probiotic. Use of the test paper confirms no liquid is been dispensed into the airI am very disappointed with these high cost units and betterair needs to get its manufacturing quality sorted outWhen the units were working I was very impressed but they are no use if they only last a few monthsWill update when Betterair get back to me regarding the two faulty replacement unitsUPDATEBetterair got back to me and stated that a batch of faulty cartridges had been issued and I might have faulty cartridges. They sent me 2 new cartridges and both units now working correctly. Very good customer service but they need to get their quality control in order as these are not cheap units

I had high hopes for this device to aid my 3 year old granddaughter with weak immune system. Unfortunately, the unit failed after a little more than a month (flashing light on the power unit which is not explained in the 'manual'). Was able to make contact with the BetterAir people and they sent a replacement unit, PRONTO. Have not had it long enough, as I type, to make an observation on its performance.
