Completely impervious to COPIC markers.
A good, dark ink, it's capable of making a true black line if laid down heavily (I use a nib pen, usually a G). Of course, a heavy live needs PLENTY of time to dry. The ink is water based so a drop can be much lightened if you move quickly with a dry paper towel followed by a wet one to lighten the spot and another dry one to pick up the loosened ink. When it dries it is very stable. Many people want to know about COPIC marker compatability. All the drawing was done with this ink in the silly little cartoon I've attached. The coloring was all done with COPIC markers.

Works for me
I use iron gall ink in a mixed medium way - with water color paints. The bottle in which it came appears to be very airtight. I use it with dip pens. Be aware that it is highly recommended to not use iron gall ink in fountain pens. Subjectively, it seems to not darken as much as others I have used. This is likely due to the recipe used by the producer. It will likely take years to see its reaction with the watercolor paper.

Great Iron Gall Ink
I use this ink for both Spencerian and for Broad-edge pen calligraphy. This ink gives consistently good results, it flows well and lasts well in the bottle. It avoids the problems of thickening in the bottle and mold formation that affect some other iron gall inks. The results are beautiful.

Very happy with this ink
The purplish-black color is lovely, waiting for it to turn brownish as it oxidizes. Flow is smooth, doesn't leech into other areas, and works well with my steel nibs. Overall very pleased with how the ink performs and looks. I've found my new black ink!

Best ink I've ever used for Calligraphy.
I have never used such a wonderful ink. It is black as night and allows you some of the finest hairlines I've ever got out of a pointed pen. They have a repeat customer on their hands, I'll tell you that much.

Recommended by my favorite you tube calligrapher. It didn't work to my satisfaction on these damn shimmery envelopes I'm working with. But then, nothing else does either

Simply the Best
Amazing ink, no wonder the scholars of old loved this. Very good flow and detail is possible with this ink. Of the twenty something types of ink I own, this is my favorite.
