Akro-Mils 39170 Industrial Plastic Storage Tote with Hinged Attached Lid, (21-Inch L by 15-Inch W by 17-Inch H), Gray, (3-Pack)

I have bought these for the purpose of stacking in hopes to eliminate the problem I have had with the ones you can purchase on the spot at most stores . (Sterilite, ,Hefty) all of these come in different strength grades of course and the price increases considerably for the heavier duty ones, if, you can find them in stores. However even some of those with the better designed tops for stacking purposes, when storing them in garages or attics the heat will eventually cause the tops to cave in when stacking more than 3, thus not useful when trying to save space. I researched several sites and read many many reviews weeding out the fake reviews (how annoying is that!) and short of buying military grade or lockers so heavy you can’t lift them to stack , or breaking my budget, these are the best I found. In the Med size close to the other brand Im changing out they are not as long, but you get some space back in the height of these. The coolest part is they arrive in one box all stacked together. I could not believe that 3 arrived in one box! The way the lids fold to stack each one inside the other is so compact and the lids permanently attached so no more loosing them. They stack securely with a fantastic deep top edge design so once they are stacked you can’t knock the top one off. So far I love these containers. They appear to be more durable than my old ones, like the body of the container not just the lid. The long term durability, well only time will tell. I Plan to buy the bottom rolling cart to move them about effortlessly as I use them for my heavier breakable holiday decorations, fun halloween dishes and even expensive holiday themed China . So far so good. I’m 15 containers down, about 30 to go in my conversion to these. I’ll update when the project is done. THRILLED AND RECOMMEND

I bought 6 of these industrial storage totes in 2017 for inventory. They still look like new in 2023. They get opened daily and we repurpose them for camping and road trips whenever we need them. They fit in the back of our SUV and provide a sturdy surface when we need it. We barely use luggage anymore for road trips; we just throw everything in these since it makes emptying the car onto luggage carts at hotels a breeze. They are sturdy and none have cracked. Easy to wash out if they get dirty or something leaks. When I bought them in 2017 I thought they were pricey (3 for $51). They've since doubled in price but they are worth it. I wish I had bought more back when they were cheaper. I'll buy more of these when my clear, cheap bins break.

15.25 inches wide, not 15. It matters when you're trying to fit 3 bins on a shelf that has just a hair over 45 inches of opening.

All I wanna say is that these are a lot heavier than what I'm used to. Maybe twice as heavy, plastic is a lot thicker. Just got this yesterday and for the price it's a very good deal. 3 for 36 with free shipping is awesome since this sells at uline for more than 20 each without shipping. It's not the same brand. Hopefully heavier weight means heavy-duty. But I would've preferred lighter weight since we're not gonna use it to ship items, so we don't need it to be heavy-duty. Still, can't complain about the price. If you don't buy these in the thousands you won't get this kind of pricing. Even globalindustrial and zoro are more expensive than uline. EDIT: Added back 1 star, for the price you really can't complain. Tip: If you wanna buy more than the limit of 6 (3x6=18 total), you can buy again a few days after the first order is delivered.

These containers are made of high-impact plastic, and will stand up to just about any abuse. Being 17" high and 21" long, they are ably to handle a lot of larger household items that wouldn't fit even in a legal sized paper box. You might balk at the price, but consider that you'll have them forever, they are impervious to mold and moisture,(unlike cardboard boxes) and they can be secured shut with wire ties. Not waterproof, but at least you don't have to worry about moisture getting in from the bottom if you have these in a storage unit or the basement. All in all, a great quality product.

I am in the process of packing to move from the house where I have lived for the last 25 years. I have many Akro-Mils storage containers that have been around for close to 40 years now. They have held up well and have gotten heavy use, and some abuse, too. (People standing on them rather than get a step ladder.) So when I needed taller containers they are the company that I turned to for more and taller ones. I can see that the areas where I have cracks from the abuse, these new ones have been strengthened.

Sized to stack and to maximize storage space I'd given up finding these locally. Everything was too flimsy to store in a garage that gets super hot in summer. These are tough. No lids sagging. Can take 100lbs weight - and that's more than I can lift even when I am feeling very Olympic! That's a tag line to a joke but you'd need to remember the Movie Cool Running starring the Jamaican Bobsled Team.... Now that I've found these jewels I'm going to redo the garage storage. Life without a basement isn't easy....

The price tag is fairly high, but these are much better than Rubbermaid containers. They're very solid and easily stackable, plus they have holes you can thread zip-ties through if you're moving and want to make sure everything is secure.
