Fun to build
The fun part is building this. I like the way the pieces snap together. Most of the pieces are thick and solid. A couple are thinner, but they need to be. I did damage one piece but some glue reinforced the weakness I made. The instructions are mostly clear. Some steps take some dexterity and patience, but for me that was part of the fun. A bit of challenge made it more interesting. Excellent design. They must have put a lot of work into it.I have built all four marble puzzles. I prefer the Waterwheel Coaster and the Lift Coaster to this one because they are cooler to play with after they are built. But I did enjoy this one. I took me a couple of days to build. You can decide if a couple of days of fun is worth the cost.

challenging but fun
My 10 year old son requested this for Christmas, and he ended up assembling 98% of it on his own. Pay close attention to detail (like the orientation of pieces) and you'll be fine. I suggest getting a small metal fine or metal nail file would work, to slowly sand the pieces so less force is needed. Sand a little then check fit. It works well when completed.

The best model toy that we have worked on
The whole kit is well organized. It is an excellent piece for someone who loves lego and would like something different.Instructions are well thought out. Clear. Easy to follow. Warnings about places that can easily cause mistakes are fairly good. Though we still made a few mistakes.Pieces are well fit together. A lot of good ideas in the design. We have tried many toys like this, putting gears together. Robots, Tamiya tanks. None of them have pieces fit so well together. We usually have trouble with unclear instructions and things fitting together. The quality of this kit is pretty good.

BEST GIFT EVER!
Seriously the best gift ever. I have purchased a few of the marble run versions and a couple of the clock ones for teens and tweens. Great to build with someone else too. The clearest directions I have ever encountered. Period! Laser cut pieces fit together perfectly. In my 44 years of living, I cannot think of a better toy/ model/ gift for the price. The perfect substitute for a Lego set and I love Legos.

Fun, but design flaws required some changes
I love these marbe machine kits, but this one has several design flaws. For one, the fish stairs / ladder lifter section is a bit oversized for the these ball bearings allowing 2 marbles to fit at each step. This can cause problems at the next section where the marble overshoots the reset gate. I ended up blocking 3 of the 4 holes in the lifter wheel to manage the rate of marbles entering the fish stairs. The gearing ratio could be changed in future designs because the fish stairs are 13 times slower than the wheel in marble throughput. Also the ramps seem a bit more fiddly than other ROKR kits I've built, requiring me to glue in some pieces.Note:Two different pieces labeled A24 are provided, but be sure to use the one next to the other A pieces instead of the G board.Step 4 has an error, you should put 2x A4 pieces on the shaft for the main lifter wheel, not just one.

Follow instructions. ..
The third Rokr puzzle I have finished. I've learned to go easy on sanding parts. Just clean off any " nibs" left in lazer cutting. I keep a sharp xacto handy, some pieces need a little flare in the opening to get them started.I broke two tabs off. One was my heavy hand forcing it, the other the plywood separated . Both were given a drop of one minute epoxy and all is well!Don't watch the videos! Let yourself be suprise at how ingenious the puzzle is!My wife has already purchased me the day, Date clock!I guess she likes how these keep me occupied!Follow instructions explicitly and enjoy!

I love ROKR 3D puzzles
The Marble Squad is my 5th ROKR 3D puzzle (Locomotive, Film Projector, Air Vehicle, Perpetual Calendar) and I love putting them together. It's amazing how all of the parts are engineered to fit perfectly - I really like just looking at them as I progress through the installation. I'm now starting the Steampunk Music Box and the Marble Explorer is due here today. By my unofficial count, there are 17 more awaiting my attention.

It's really good, don't forget the wax
I used a file to a fix a piece that I put upside down, other than that, no problems during assembly. Will definitely be buying the other marble mazes form ROKR.

Fun Alternative to a Regular Puzzle
The media could not be loaded. My 11 year old enjoyed building this with his dad. They built it over 5 sessions, which took about a week. We were aware that some pieces could be fragile, so they worked carefully. No, pieces broke during the building process. Definitely, it was the journey not the destination that makes this project so interesting. It was much more engaging that a regular puzzle.

Very well cut parts, but mechanism is a bit reluctant to work properly
This is something that is more fun to build than to use.
