Wonderful primer for those who are just discovering mindfulness into their life.
This book when first viewed might seem childish. However it’s definitely not childish. It’s an easy to read format. A Pooh story with good medical info provided at the end of each chapter. If you never understood what mindfulness was or are just beginning a life of mindfulness this book is the one to read before any other. It’s simple & easy to read yet has notes provided by the author (who is also a doctor). It certainly helped me understand mindfulness in its easy and lighthearted tale. I recommend it if you’re just beginning mindfulness. The price is about what you’d expect for a hardback book.

Delightful combination of childlike playfulness and mindful awareness!
I thought this looked intriguing; I love Winnie the Pooh and am a newcomer to the practice of mindfulness. This book is an absolute joy! I will be gifting this to everyone I can think of because at the heart of it, it's about peace of mind and kindness. The short practices are easy to put into use every morning. What's even better is that, when I'm reading it, I once again feel some of the happiest moments I had as a child. I've been starting every morning with a couple of pages to get my day moving in the right direction. What an interesting combination of playfulness, joy, and mindful awareness! The illustrations are also stunning. This is a precious gift! Many thanks to Dr. Parent for this beautiful book!

An Easy Introduction to Mindfulness
I love this book. It's an easy Introduction into mindfulness and an adorable experience. Each chapter is brief whereby making the entire book a very short commitment. The stories are very digestible with just enough food for thought for any time of the day. I overthink a lot and couldn't understand mindfulness in general. This book used a simplistic model of Pooh's day to explain mindfulness practices. It's so easy to understand and the stories are helpful in remembering how to be mindful. Everything was placed into perspective for me. I feel less stress following Pooh's cute examples and I even felt good while reading Pooh's journey. As an adult, I encourage other adults to pick up this book for themselves. Don't feel embarrassed. It's an excellent decision!

Well Written
This book is full of great understandable practices for awareness. Yet, something was missing, more practical application would have been helpful.

Great for any age
Perfect book to teach mindfulness to young or old. The Pooh part is great to read to children and introduce them to living in the present. The explanation is simple and complex but written in a way for anyone to understand. This is a book I will read whenever I need a reminder to be mindful of the here and now.

The best book on mindfulness I've ever read
I love this book and read a chapter (they're very short, only a couple of pages) every morning. It's plain, simple, non-religious, down-to-earth and thoroughly enjoyable instruction on practicing staying in the moment when your mind wants to wander or whirl. I still overthink things and sometimes whirl, but I'm learning how to derail the negative energy and get back on track and centered. After a few months of consistent practice, I feel so much calmer and patient. It's made the perfect gift for my friends who, like me, tend to think too much and miss the moment.
