TACKLIFE has saved me tons of time and money!
Let me put a disclaimer out there; I'm not a very handy person, and have never been. I guess where some people grew up with handy dads to introduce them to the life of a handyman and a do-it-yourselfer, my dad wasn't around much and I never saw much interest in wood, concrete, nails, saws and drills. But, I'm not a child anymore and I have a house to maintain. I'm also tired of paying people to do the simplest of maintenance work (which they often seem to butch) and having to wait on them to do it. So, I decided to purchase my own drill and start doing these jobs myself. There are a few things in life I completely suck at (drinking, being handy and taking sh!t from my boss) so I knew this was going to take some learning - and I was right. What I didn't know, however, was just how quick and easy it is to be "handy", especially with the right tools, and this is the right tool!I hunted on Amazon for about two weeks before purchasing this drill. I was looking at some chordless drills from Dewalt and a few other brands, but settled on this due to the price/performance ratio. Obviously a chordless hammer drill would cost more money, and my money is needed in a lot of areas, so I have to save money where I can. I didn't even realise that there were so many different drills until I started doing my research. I would have bought any old drill to do the job, but my walls are concrete and the fact is, any old drill wouldn't do the job - I needed hammer action! The reviews looked great, the accessories looked great and the few included drill bits (especially the masonry bits for my walls) seemed like a further excuse to save some money.I bought it, watched a few YouTube videos, and used it. I have zero regrets - this thing works. It chews through concrete on the hammer setting, and even with the regular drill setting I'm sure it will move through concrete once you're using a masonry bit (though it will take much longer than using the hammer setting). The quality seems robust, as well as the feature set and ergonomics. The weight isn't the best distributed or balanced, but that's where the handle attachment comes in, and it really works to help keep this baby steady.I've seen a few reviews complain about how hot it gets, and it certainly does get hot. But I think that's to be expected, especially when using it to drill into concrete. Once you're holding the handles, or the base of the drill, you won't burn yourself. I don't have any experience with other drills, but I'm almost certain it doesn't get hotter than other hammer drills. For the price you pay this is an absolute must-buy for DIYers. It's a high quality drill that comes with all the accessories you need to get started, is of excellent quality with a thick, long power chord, and has all the features you'd expect in any decent hand drill. I've used it for well over a dozen projects at home and it has performed superbly. If you're on the fence about this drill; don't be. Make the leap and purchase it!

Exceeded Expectations
Based on the price, I didn't have high expectations of this drill but it was cheaper than renting a Hammer Drill at the big box, so I figured if it survived this project I was breaking even at least. It arrived in a simple box, nothing fancy but did appear to be pretty solidly built. My project was to install an awning which required 10 holes in some old brick. I had also ordered the extra drill bits for a few bucks thinking maybe they might last a hole or two. I even purchased a Bosch masonry bit to have on hand when these wore out. To my surprise the drill performed better than much more expensive drills I have used in the past. And the drill bit chewed through the brick with ease with little to no wear showing after 10 holes! No need for the more expensive bit! This drill may not last for larger more intense projects, but for my use, it was a winner! Very happy with the purchase!

Nothing better than a corded tool for power
I bought it for the hammer drill feature. The building is cement block walls and concrete floors, therefore, I'm always needing to drill into cement. This drill, as my TACKLIFE corded drill is extreme smooth running, plenty of power and well balanced. I'm a little surprised that it is a keyed chuck. I guess the power and hammer feature make it a better choice. I've had the tool for two days and had to drill eight holes in concrete. I install a new air conditioner and the compressor units must be now be anchored. Fours whole for the four brackets. Then I had to installed a safety anti tip bracket for a new electric range through a tiled floor then through the concrete. It was light drilling butter. Smooth and effortlessly. If you need a longer cord then you need to bump up to a cord with 12 gauge wire. Obviously, you will need a heavier drill for everyday use if you're drilling through brick or concrete. Some of these drills list for over $200.00 and I was a little skeptical that one under $50 would work, but this one really performed well for my needs. I also prefer this corded product to battery operated after disappointment with battery operated tools in the past. Only had the drill a couple of days, so I don't know how durable it will be. TACKLIFE has a good reputation for durability, so I don't foresee any problems with the limited use I'll be giving this tool.

Excellent. NOT an impact drill, just regular and hammer.
I used it to drill into a brick wall when I ran new electrical conduit in my basement. Worked great. Powerful. Definitely use the speed setting on the trigger because at full speed the drill jumps to full RPM fast. The chuck needed oiling at first. Now it’s silky smooth. Fits the hand well, feels really solid. Heavy but that’s the nature of the beast. Note: it’s not an impact drill, just regular and hammer. Impact drills’ pulse in a rotary direction, good for drilling through wood and setting screws. This pulses in an up-and-down direction to augment the rotary motion of the big itself, ideal for concrete. The description above should remove the word “impulse.” Very glad I bought this excellent product.

ok
I bought this specifically to install the ring doorbell 2 as I have a brick exterior but in the end I did not use this, but have decided to keep it. I ended up being too scared to drill into the brick and no one in my house would bother to lift a finger to help out. I'm used to using a cordless drill to screw in nails in pre-drilled holes, I've never created holes, much less in brick. And although I was excited to try, once I took out the drill and saw the extra handle thingy and how heavy it was (compared to my cute cordless drill), I started doubting myself. Sounds terrible but just being honest. However, I figured I would keep this as you never know when it could be used in the future. The instruction manual is a little too basic but if I could figure it out, I think anyone could. It seems sturdy and strong and although it came with that roll up thing for the bits (whatever those things are called), I wish it came with a bag instead so I can keep everything together. I did appreciate the other reviews for this though, which is honestly why I chose this one.
