This product is being compared to the comparable life proof fre case. I bought this because the only life proof case available or my phone this time went up in price and the only available color option was horrific.This basically is a life proof fre case, except made more cheaply from what I can tell. now don’t let that scare you too much, this is still a 3-star phone case, which is Still good, just not life proof 5 star. With that being said, Time may hone my opinion as this review is being written not long after purchase.Not that I am a plastic expert but it seems the material used is substandard to the life proof. Don’t plan to use headphones with this case, because I’ve yet to find any that fit in the hole provided, and the adapter that comes with this case for your headphones is spitting distance from worthless, if you play with it enough and hold it perfectly still in a specific position, you can get sound to come through, sometimes even through both earbuds. (I gave this case four stars until I found that out.) The camera light does not add up perfectly with the camera porthole provided, however the camera itself does lineup, as does all other buttons and openings. There is no picture of that as that was not noticed until my found that I was using to take pictures with, was inside of the case, also something you can’t tell from the photographs is that the edges are thicker and rounder in the life proof case edges. The front touchscreen and back however are the same profile. The two piece case did not go together as confidently as the life proof did. The closures at the bottom push in as opposed to snap or screw in (The snap in life proof charging port cover is not featured in the photographs, seeing as how it was crushed off when open recently, The nail in the coffin for the old case btw) The switch to put your phone on silent mode is a turn table instead of a switch, and the home button is mounted a little deeper. But everything seems to function fine. There is no gasket for waterproofing like in the life proof (you’ll notice the green thing in one of the pictures, that’s the gasket however after taking my phone out of the life proof case it came out of its slot) so I admit I’m worried about the waterproofing aspect. My phone case gets subjected to a lot of abuse as I work as a roofer and in my free time I travel, hike, backpack, camp, kayak and other activities that subject phones, or rather their cases and possibly phone if the case is in adequate, to damage and abuse. I need a hard-core case that can take punishment, but still slim and sleek enough to easily fit in a suit pocket or go out on the town with, with the least bulk possible. If you’re like me, you could definitely do worse than this case. It may be a knock off life proof, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. You could also call it a budget life proof, and if you can’t afford the expensive price tag or can’t stand the currently available wretched color options for a life proof fre, this is a great alternative. I usually burn through one life proof case a year (sometimes stretching it to 1 1/2 years) so we’ll see how long this one lasts in comparison. If anything interesting takes place that I feel those buying this case should know about in the meantime, or anytime proven alterations to what I’ve written here already, I’ll try to find some time to update this.Most comparisons here are documented in the photographs for your convenience. The life proof is the gray and black (my old case) and the cellever (this case, my current one) is the red and black. Honestly a great case but you can’t hear your cell @ ALL even if your right next it!!Who wants that? not Me!! I missed a lot of important calls then in even up for 2 min room next can’t hear and I can hear a penny drop onto a street corner away I have insanely good hearing always have!! Tried to return it but wouldn’t/also I got the wrong color I ordered!! But at the bottom where they basically stuff filler into the opposite side the speakers on🤷🏻‍♂️!! I bought this for my 6plus when laying face up the speakers 🔊 are on the right Bottom but that parts sealed then the left side were the speakers are not it’s blocked off with the foam!! If u wanna hear your cell not a great case!! Honestly though great case in every other way other the the DND button hit has a ⭕️ With a X on it and if u slightly click it then your cells on don’t disturb!! Like others they should’ve ✔️like the outter boxes amping many others and just put a square over it u can open to change!! So if u remove the foam on the bottom and the 🚱W the X then it would work great bc feels like it’s not even on your phone 6/7or 8 plus tried it on all bc they wouldn’t let me return it for wrong color or other reasons as soon as I opened it!! But I will say if u take out the foam on the bottom and ditch the ⭕️X or DND button the case itself is great feels like it’s not even on your cell!! Perfect just remove those 2 things I did on the one I ordered 2 and 1s still in the box bc I’ll just re sell- but all 6/7/8&SE📱’s (all fit same cases same with the 6/7/8plus cases but on the 6 the foam is on the other side of the speakers so basically u have the bottom of the case blocking any noise then the foam on the opposite side of where the speakers are!! 8 has them on both also I’m not a of color red for reasons I wear never tshirts and never cases yet got 1 as a red that was suppose to be black for the plus size 6/7/8 iPhones!! But I gave a 2outta 5 bc literally perfect carse literally clicked on and feels like your regular screen yet the do not disturb button turns it self on just by taking it outta a hoodie pocket to not being a lie to hear so when home have to leave it connected to a ue boom on low and then sounds normal when out have to have a blue tooth so hear it ring also comes with a connector for 3.5mm for 6plus bc u can’t just plug your 🎧 if reg 3.5 into it with out their extension!!

I just recently received my phone cover. It perfectly fits my iPhone 6 S-Plus, passed the 30 minute water test perfectly, was easy to install and there were no air bubbles trapped between the phone and the cover. Every inch of the screen shows through the clear cover so the touch feature is unaffected.I previously had another cover from this brand (for a different phone) and I loved the blue color on it. This one is exactly the same blue color but from the front you can see only a little bit of the color on the thin frame that surrounds the screen. The back of the cover is not made from the same hard plastic but instead it’s a colored mica material. The color of the mica is beautiful and it’s very smooth so you’ll have no problem attaching a pop socket. However, that mica back shows aaaall the smudges from your fingers holding the phone. This wouldn’t happen if the cover was all plastic.I like that the charging cable aperture is big enough to accept third-party brands even if the plug is a little larger or thicker. The earphone plug lid however, was virtually impossible to open and I had to use the tip of the headphone adapter to push it open from the inside. I suspect the little rubber lip that is used for opening that plug will not last long because of how difficult it is to pull open.One of my main concerns was the sound quality and I’m glad to report this one has a much better sound quality than other “life proof” covers I’ve had in the past. With this type of waterproof, dirt proof covers the sound quality is never 100%, but with this one it’s better than most.The wheel for on/off sound as well as all other buttons work well and easily.All in all a good purchase at a decent price.
