Multi purpose water sports shoe that also fits women
I got these for an active beach vacation and used these almost all day, every day to do everything from walking along a rocky shoreline, SUP, windsurfing, kayaking, and even wore them under my open-back snorkel fins with comfort and ease. They were durable, grippy, comfortable and just as much protection / warmth as I needed for long days in open water and all of the agility, friction and movement that these various activities required. I wear a women's size 8 shoe which would normally translate to a men's size 6 but not so with these since they are apparently more form fitting than a shoe. The size 7 bootie fit me well, just to the end of my toe. That would be a bit tighter than I'd normally want my shoes but, for these, I found it to be the perfect fit since these do have a bit of stretch to them and you don't want to sacrifice agility for toespace and even after a full day of wear I did not find them too tight on my feet or toes.

Feet stay warm & protected
I bought these booties to go with my epic 3/2 fullsuit. This setup is mostly used for kayaking in central California where the water is usually around 50 degrees. In colder water you might want something thicker, but for what I do these are perfect. The heat are very light weight, comfortable to wear all day. Seams are sewed and glued so I dont see them tearing anytime soon. The soles are thick enough to protect my feet when launching the yak off of rocks and the tread grips pretty well. The salt water is ALWAYS rinsed off ALL of my gear, and this goes a LONG way in extending the life of everything. I've been out around 20 times in the past 2 years and both the suit and booties look brand new still. The round toe fit pretty true to size. I also have the split toe, which run a size small so go one size bigger if you're ordering those. Once you find the right fit these are WELL WORTH THE $50. Have Fun!

A solid buy!
Kept my feet warm. I don't mind having cold hands in the ocean, but cold feet!? No way! These are great, booties in general are great. I usually wear a size 9.5 or 10, bought a size 10 and fits great. You don't want booties to have too much room in the toe, these had just enough for me to be comfortable and have a nice feel. All in all, a solid buy!

like i do
The top strap on these booties doesn't work well so expect by the end of your surf session to have water in your booties. Be warned too that the 3mm version of this boot has a very thin sole so if you walk over mussel covered reefs, like i do, expect some discomfort. As long as you are not paying more than $40 for these things, they are worth the money.

I have worn the O'Neill Heat Bootie for years and love it. This time I ordered the same size but apparently my feet have grown. Even though I was a bit over the 30 days the seller allowed me to exchange it. They were very courteous.

I ordered a size 10 in this boot and it was perfect. So I would say these boots are true ...
I normally wear either a 9.5 or 10 shoe size it just depends on what Asian or Latin American country the shoe was made in. I ordered a size 10 in this boot and it was perfect. So I would say these boots are true to your size. They are real comfortable also I should o gotten these a long time ago.

Tight fit.
Good quality. The sizes do run a little small, so you may want to buy a size larger than your shoe size. They do keep me feet warm.

great booties for New England surf
the product works great for me. I have 13 size shoe and the O'neil Heat boots do not have any sizing surprises. Like all boots, water builds up in the boot after a nice surf session.. which is not a problem. I am happy with the shoes and they really do make a difference in the cold New England surf.
