If I buy these seeds now in September 2017 will they still be good to plant in the spring of 2018?

I'd wait and buy fresh seeds in the spring, just before planting.

Do these turn and get green lines on them?

They stay light green with no stripes. Best when harvested at about 6 inches. They will get large if you let them (carved one for Halloween decoration).

Is this variety resistant to the vine borer?

I don't know, I haven't seen any so far just some powdery mildew here in hot & humid S.E. Michigan.
