Four years of service, cut short by my wolf hybrid
This was a great KVM. The hotkeys worked, the remote was responsive, and the cables were pretty well managed. Unfortunately, the mini-usb connector is not wolf-proof. I'm sad to report that its demise came last week, when my 100lb wolf hybrid was sniffing around underneath my desk. She thought about trying to push through some wires, among which was the wire for the remote on the KVM. She decided against it, and then backed up... causing her tail to knock something off my desk. The noise startled her and she jumped forward, which yanked all the wires around and broke off the USB port where the remote connects to the KVM. Naturally, the destruction caused even MORE noise and she went into a full on freak-out, charging out of the room to hide downstairs. I do note that I couldn't stop laughing while this was going on - she kept making things worse every step along the way, like an old Charlie Chaplin film. She still visits my office, but eyes my desk with suspicion. Sadly, once the remote's jack was broken, the KVM stopped doing USB switching for the devices connected to it. So while it's still a decent HDMI switch, it is no longer a KVM. I mourn its loss - this really was a great KVM.

Nice KVM switch, cables a bit long.
The switch comes with a little USB 120V adapter to supply the unit with 5V. The manufacturer claims that it draws 2 amps, but I have not found any evidence that it draws that much. It also comes with hybrid cables that combine HDMI with USB and analog speaker and microphone. This cable simplifies the wiring although the cables are a bit long. I can live with them. The analog speaker works. I did not test the microphone port. It would be nice if the analog output ports were on the back instead of the front. Switching takes about 5 seconds for everything to switch. The audio and keyboard switch almost instantly, but the video takes the longest to come around. My Raspberry Pi and my MX linux machine had no problem. Windows 7 had some issues but eventually came around. I have a wired keyboard and a wireless keyboard/mouse connected to it. Everything works fine. I do not use the wired remote because there is no need to. Just hit the right control key twice and then press the computer number on the numeric keypad and then press enter. That switches without the fuss. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a KVM.

Just installed it. Overall, it's working well and I'm very pleased.
The price of the unit is more than reasonable, and I was quite impressed with its quality. It has a sturdy metal case that is built to last. Installation was okay. I have three computers on it. I had to do some trial and error to figure out that some of my USB devices wouldn't work on the USB 3.0 connections, which is alright with me. Getting the monitor set up was the biggest problem. I have a 43" UHD tv I use as a monitor. In my first attempt on my main Windows box, I didn't get any video at all. After some more trial and error, I brought up the Display Settings and found the refresh rate was too high. Originally, it was set to 30Hz but it had been changed to 60Hz. That fixed that problem. The biggest problem I had was with my other Windows box. No matter what I tried with refresh rates, nothing would be displayed on the screen. The problem turned out to be that the HDMI cable included with the switch was bad. I'm going to contact CKlau support and see how responsive they are.

What an awful product. How many things can they screw up?
I have had bad luck with my KVMs from Amazon. This is the fourth one and it's the worst. The best was the Aimos but I need another one (I'm a professional with 4 computers and 2 monitors and a tricky setup overall so my devices have to meet certain quality criteria). The well working AIMOS switch seems to be discontinued, otherwise I would just have bought another. After messing with all these failing KVMs, I fully understand how EDID works. If you don't, you will be even more confused. The best thing I can say is this is a metal box and the power supply connector is solid. What problems have I found? - There is a variable multi second delay when switching. And if you don't think it got it and enter it again, it will do all of them in order. So if you fumble twice, you may have to wait 15 seconds for it to stop rotating. - It blacks the screen when switching. It claims to do EDID, but if it does, they are not benefiting from it. AIMOS switches instantly without blacking or flicker. To be fair, the Aimos was an older design without EDID so I had to buy EDID adapters to make it work. But a modern KVM should have built in EDID and should switch instantly without blacking, flicker, or all windows moving to the main monitor when you switch away. - It beeps loudly every time you switch. Extremely disturbing in a cubicle environment. Cannot be turned off. - It claims bluetooth compatibility. It's a lie. It will do bluetooth if you plug in an adapter. It can't do Apple bluetooth keyboards at all since they don't have a BT receiver. I bought this because I wanted to use muy Apple keyboard. It won't do that AT ALL, so it's going back. - Even hours after switching channels, when everything seems stable, the screen will randomly black out every now and then. - Modern keyboards, like Apple's for the past decade, don't have Scroll Lock or Num Lock keys. - The reported mouse switching only works in one direction. - The wired remote has silly button layout, but works. Ths software feels like it was written by an amateur windows programmer in over their head. It gets easily wedged, and the "memory function in case of power loss" means you can't even power cycle it to reset it. The fact that they included a keyboard hot key combination to "unwedge the keyboard and mouse" indicates they knew when they shipped it that it had software problems. A good KVM should NEVER go catatonic. This product is not only a return to Amazon, it absolutely deserves to die, and the company that made it deserves to die. I will continue looking for a good KVM. Follow me for more reports.

The KVM Switch worked very well in my setup which consists of: 1. Mac Mini M1 2. Windows PC 3. Macbook Pro i7 4. Nintendo Switch 2 Things to Note: Audio is provided via the 3mm input jack to the 3mm output via their custom HDMI cables. Because of this I had to connect my Nintendo's Switch via a normal HDMI cable to route sound from the Monitor's audio bypass to my speakers. The USB hub that consolidate the Mouse, Keyboard and the additional USB input into a single USB input (via their custom cable) masks my Steel Series mouse from the Steel Series driver app. Any mouse and keyboard connected via the hub will end up as a "Generic" device. They work as mouse and keyboard, but you will not be able to get your manufacturer's drivers to see the devices. Other than that the setup is great. I have had 2 KVM Switches in the past and this one beats them in terms of quality and ease of use. There is no dropped HDMI signals.

Works perfectly to tie my NAS and software server together with room to grow for two more systems. All cables came for the full compliment of four. KISS and just works.

This is my third KVM, this is good design: 1. cable all in one: one cable bundled with hdmi, usb and audio for one input, cut number of wires and makes your table cleaner 2. hot keys: hot keys available and can be turned on and off 3. power supply: it can work with and without a power supply 4. quick switch: quick action when switching, this is different from some kvm I used before that register the screen to the system only when you switch to it which results in 5+ seconds of waiting time a few disadvantages: 1. still use USB 2.0. it's better to have USB 3.0 even if the price goes a bit higher than current price 2. I noticed that the mouse/keyboard sometime not stable. However, I am changing KVM since I am having problem with my setup, so not sure it's the problem of my mouse/keyboard or it's this KVM overall good and recommended
