Excellent, but steep learning curve!
These are phenomenal! However, if its your first time trying the haakaa style passive pumps, itll seem like they suck and are pointless at first, but dont be discouraged and give them a longer chance!! I was so frustrated at first because they didn't seem to do anything or work at all, and I was anout to syart the return process, but i was like no, let me give them another chance because everyone seems to like them so much. So, I looked up a few videos and articles and tried again. Once I got good at using them, I realized I live them. For me, I've switched to using these exclusively and don't bother with electric pumps anymore, and I pump about 24oz with them each day to cover the morning and evening, and then feed from the source at lunchtime and during the night. Not everyone would be able to use only these a d no electric pumps though, so don't go into it with that intention because that won't be practical for everyone. They are more of for catching leakage from the other side while nursing, or if you're just sitting in or getting out of the shower, or relieving the pressure when you're engorged, etc. They should be very comfortable; if it hurts you probably overdid it a bit on the suction when you put it on. Fold the flange back all the way, squeeze the body of the pump, place it on nice and centered, flip the flange back down, and let go. It may take some practice to figure out the best angle for you as well, and make sure your nip isnt touching the sides (you can gently pinch and twist the body of the pump to adjust if needed). The biggest thing is, it takes a minute or two for the milk to start coming, so be patient and don't keep trying to adjust and make it better or expect it to be instant like with an electric one that active sucks it out. This is just gentle suction but that mostly let's it come out on its own, so it won't be as fast as an electric either. You can gently apply pressure or lightly squeeze (not right by the pump or you'll unseal it and make it pop off) to get the milk going, and you can rest a warm towel or heating pad across to encourage the milk to come as well. Also, even though the max capacity is like 4oz, you should pretty much dump and start again if one side hits 2oz because the suction becomes less effective. You can see the body of the pump look fully plumped out again instead of collapsed in on itself. At that point, you can gently squeeze the body of the pump to push the extra air out and increase the suction again, and that will allow you to push it to 3oz, but that's about the max. They stay on well though (although I'm very well endowed, so I'm not sure if smaller cup sizes would have any issue or not) and you can walk around the house with them on without issue. You will look silly if you try to use them in public though, they make a very noticeable cery weird shape in your shirt; they're more for at home use. They aren't really for laying down, but you can be seated, standing, reclined up to about 45 degrees, or leaning forward a bit (which is most effective because gravity helps). If you're going to bend over, then you should throw your arm across them just in case, but its usually fine if they aren't super full yet. A really strong kick from baby can occasionally pop the other one free, but overall, they are way more wonderful and effective than I thought they'd be, and I'm soooo glad I decided to try them. If you have any trouble when you try them, try troubleshooting on Google first before giving up! The lids don't really matter, I wouldn't actually trust them to keep milk from spilling if you dropped one or knocked it over, they're only useful to keep dust or anything from falling in if you need to set it down in a cup holder for a second or something. Sooooooo, worth the super cheap cost though, definitely give them a shot because what do you have to lose? I was not paid to write this or anything either; I just tried them out on my own and love them, but I would have returned them if I didn't find out more and figure out how to use them more effectively, so I wanted to write the review I wish I could've read when purchasing to help things go smoother with using them. So to summarize: they're great, buy them! Be PATIENT and don't fiddle around, just trust the process and relax and give it time!

MY GO TO HAKAA'S!! LOVE THESE!!
Ok. I do have the original hakaa and LOVE IT! I have also gotten some of the "cheaper versions" as well for different purposes (cleaning, to have on hand at home and going places, etc). Some of the other "hakaa's" have not been the best of quality and don't always want to be sturdy or stay on after a certain amount in them or moving "just right". So I stopped using the one set that was a pia unless I had NO choice because the other 2 hakaa's were getting cleaned or at another house as backup. I decided to give these a try and honestly wasn't expecting them to be as great as they are! Immediately out of the bag, I felt the difference! The thickness to the silicone is very noticeable in a GREAT way! I was ecstatic before I even sterilized them. Once they were washed through the dishwasher, I immediately had to try them. I can't express enough how amazing these are for only a fraction of the price! The suction is amazing and you can definitely tell the quality is there. They don't fall off, lose suction, or lose suction after so much is filled, and they are anything but flimsy or easy to "knock off". I purposely even moved my arms underneath, around, and massaged my breasts with them on to help get some extra letdown- and they stayed put!! And any mom that's breastfeeding can relate to the positives about that. The bottoms are open a little more you can obviously notice that they won't be easy to spill. They are hands down just an amazing great quality set of hakaa's and I'm so glad I made the decision to get these! They are my go to hakaa's now and I couldn't be happier!! I only wish that I found these sooner! A MUST BUY FOR BREASTFEEDING MAMAS!!

You need this!
Buy it! This thing is God sent. It is so easy to use and it gives such a good feeling when you see it fill up because not only are you feeding the baby but you are collecting milk at the same time. I do not think this is meant to replace an electrical pump but it does help add to the milk stach. I recommend this brand because it is so much less expensive than the Haakaa brand. I do not own a Haakaa but I honestly don't feel like this is a cheaper version of it. The other comments say it is better than the Haakaa so I went ahead and trusted this brand. I also love that it comes with two so I can use one for each breast. Specially at night when my baby falls asleep on my breast and I am half asleep and don't want to walk over to the kitchen to empty it and use it for the other side. If you are reading my review I hope you decide to buy this. It is not expensive and it's worth the try. I wish all breastfeeding mom's knew about it. Oh and I also used it when I was feeling full on one side because my baby fell asleep and did not feed from that side. I simply put on both pumps on and massaged my breast and I collected more milk while I was getting relief. I'm telling you! This is a must have!

Not a lot of suction
These work well... When they actually suction. Having a 4 month old it gets really frustrating when I'm trying to get her to latch and it keeps popping off over and over again. Once it's on there, there's no issues, but getting it to suction first go is a struggle.

Second option was good buy
This were a good alternative since I only had a haka silicone manual pump. It worked well enough just suction was not as strong as I neeeded it to be. It was comfortable, easy to put on when my boob was dripping and cover was nice to have.
