Review: BEST BOOK EVER - Iโve only just received my item 20 minutes ago but had to review. This is the best book Iโve ever seen. It has absolutely everything for medical school, so many histories with detailed differential diagnoses, how to approach emergencies, commonly prescribed drugs, 100 pages alone of every kind of examination youโll ever need in osces. Would highly highly recommend this book. It even has interpretation of u&es, abgs etc. A lot of the content can be accessed online and thereโs a lot of content thatโs not freely available so itโs defo worth purchasing. Plus having it all in one book is so handy. The paper is perfect for annotating and highlighting. Thereโs also a few pages of pictures relevant to certain systems/ conditions. This has everything you need and thank you to the authors! If you buy one textbook during medical school it should be this! Review: Perfect if youre a PA student - As a PA student i am always referring to this book to update my knowledge. It is laid out well and has many different ways of explaining procedures, differentials and critical skills. It is tailored to medicine and therefore is not perfect for a PA but allows for an expansion of knowledge. It is not a perfectly up to date book so make sure to check with guidelines.

An excellent book for those who undergo OSCE examinations! Lots of detail and precise
An excellent book to use for your studies, it has pretty much all the examinations step by step which is also explained concisely and precisely. It also contains images to show what some of the conditions look like as well as what to look out for. It has a wife variety of examination procedures explained by each step such as Cardiovascular, Respiratory and how to take a blood pressure reading. A very thick book contained with everything you need in order to pass the OSCE stations! It also tells you how to take a medical history, how to examine pain. A top quality book.

Overall a very good resource
Liked the breadth of content but sometimes felt they could have gone into more detail to explain things, such as in the ECG section. Worth baring in mind that most of the content is taken from the free to view Osce stop website. There should be some extra content for book purchasers only. But overall it is a very helpful resource.

Excellent revision guide, not only for medical students but useful for junior doctors too
I found the blood test interpretation sections to be most helpful. The book has an easy to read format and has many relevant sections. For example sections on prescribing and acute scenarios. The colour inserts offer visual aids for both spot diagnoses and following algorithms. OSCEstop is a website used by myself and many of my hospital colleagues and is therefore a useful resource for both students and doctors. The book goes further to provide more detail than the current website and is a must have for medical students from first to final year.

Great book, but here's what's in it !
First of all, this is an amazing book, exactly what you'd expect from the wonderful OSCE stop ! Now onto the details. There's very little anywhere online on what's actually in the book, or how it's laid out. The content is very similar to that on the website, organised under the same sections under the website. I can't find any content that isn't listed on the website, either freely available or 'book only content' so have a look at the website for a contents page. The book printing is mainly black and white, with glossy coloured insert pages for pictures, which is great. The majority of pages aren't the typical glossy ones you normally see in text books, which some may see as a negative, but it means that I can write notes all over the pages, and highlight bits, without worrying about smudging or transferring. The content is perfect for medical school clinical years, and final exams. It would also be appropriate for starting foundation years, especially the focussed examinations. The explanations and collated management pages make trawling through NICE guidance much easier. There is a statement that they can't guarantee that the content is up to date/ accurate, but i haven't found anything to be incorrect. All in all, this is a fantastic book and I'd highly recommend it to any medical student or junior doctor.

Excellent study guide
This book is an excellent choice for anyone preparing for OSCE's. Having just completed my finals in one of the scottish medical schools where OSCE's were annual exams, I would recommend this book to students starting their first year. This book is well written with easy to refer topics and has good illustrations/photos. I have no doubt that I will refer to this book for many more years as a practising doctor.

Fantastic resource for final year OSCE exams
Really impressed with this book! I bought it after coming across the OSCEstop website and found their material really useful for revision so decided to purchase this book. It has everything you could think of to help you prepare for final year OSCEs. I found the section on prescribing particularly helpful.
