Question 1

Is this lighter weight than clay litter? Otherwise 10lbs doesn't seem like enough for one litter pan.

Accepted Answer

It is very very light. Like very fine sand. It clumps like a rock, so you don't have to throw out any wet or damp litter. I don't put the whole ten-pound bag into
the litter box. Maybe half. But this is not enough. I'm increasing my order to two 10-pound bags per month. Will see if that's enough.

Question 2

Does anyone know what kind of cassava (sweet or bitter) and whether it is detoxified? Very important but not stated anywhere?!?

Accepted Answer

Hi. All I have found (from a reviewer of this product) is that sweet cassava is poisonous and bitter is VERY poisonous. They said that when the sweet cassava is used, it is detoxified. No mention if this process is used for the cassava in this cat litter. All the manufacturer says is that it does contain cassava used for clumping and odor and it is a shrub native to South America. Sorry I couldn't help, I want to know these answers myself because I'm looking for a better cat litter. I will continue to investigate and if I find anything useful I will post it under your question. In the meantime, if you find out anything, will you post a review with the info? Thanks a lot and I hope we both get answers soon.

Question 3

Can this litter be used in a Littermaid auto litter box?

Accepted Answer

Hi yes you can use this litter in automatic litter box . I have automatic litter box and I don’t have problem . It is fantastic!!!

Question 4

Why is this not available? I just got my 7 cats converted to this litter. I see the company has another even more expensive new brand I hope it’s not

Accepted Answer

Petfive makes Garfield and Sustainably Yours. It's exactly the same but different packaging. My kitties like it just as much.
