These are great when you are out and about in the cold and have no way to heat up your food. They are very tasty and I would never turn them down.

So i bought this and multiple other brands to see what's really worth the price for what you get. Packaging was actually pretty good. Flame ration heater actually worked very well and is very hot so out in the middle of no where this would be nice. Let it heat up for about 5 mins and squeezed out the contents into a bowl and that is where the disappointment started. The look of the spaghetti itself actually looked good, but the smell and taste is why the ratings are low. It tastes like knockoff spaghetti Os. Yes I know for a ration it's not going to be fantastic, but this was poor to say the least. Save yourself the money and just heat up a can of ravioli, this is not worth the money for what you get.

I was surprised the pasta was pretty good! This was such a easy meal to take along on road trips and jeep camping. Even brought in a crowd people were amused!

I'm sure when you're on the trail you need that added protein but where's the noodles?! After a few bites, despite the tasty flavor, I got a bit grossed out and had to hand the bag over to the boyfriend. He quickly gobbled the rest and stated how awesome his dinner was. It was all meat. Comes down to personal taste. The meal itself was easy to cook. It did get messy as you got down toward the bottom of the bag. Wish that the food package was square and stiffer so you could lay it flat and eat from the top front rather than a vertical bag with a top (not side) opening .
