This is one of the best peelers I have used and a noticeable upgrade from older ones. It is very sharp and works quickly, making peeling much easier. It has also made a big difference for my arthritis, reducing strain on my hands. High quality. Very sharp. I first bought one of these peelers in September 2021and loved it so much that I purchased a second one in March of 2022. It has been my only peeler since, now 5 years later it still works very well but has dulled slightly. So...Today 4/26/2026 I ordered a new one and decided to finally review this product. It fits comfortably in the hand, has never rusted. Please note that I have never put it in the dishwasher. I highly recommend this product.

Okay, I didn't think I could have opinions about a peeler until I used this one. The grip is super comfortable — even when your hands are wet it doesn't slip around, which is kind of a big deal when you're peeling a pile of potatoes. The blade is sharp right out of the box and glides through carrots, apples, zucchini, whatever, without you having to muscle through it. And the little potato eye remover on the top actually works, which feels like a bonus at this price point. It's held up really well too — no rusting, blade's still going strong after months of regular use. For like $10, it's honestly one of the best kitchen purchases I've made. Simple, reliable, does exactly what it's supposed to. No notes.

I love OXO products. This is very comfortable in my arthritic hand. Nice and sharp, it does a great job.

CAUTION - VERY SHARP! I've had this 11 days and have cut myself 4 times. My fingernail has gotten caught in the blade 3 times while washing it by hand, cutting both the nail and my fingertip. That never happened using the older model this one replaces. That said, this new one peels vegetables almost effortlessly. Handle with care!

My daughter has this OXO peeler. Recently I used hers and was amazed at how much better it worked than my generic brand one, so I bought this OXO peeler for myself. My old one was fairly new, yet the OXO still peeled much better. The grip is great, it has a solid feel to it, and it slices a wider peel than my old one. Since I eat a lot of raw carrots and apples, I appreciate having a good peeler. I highly recommend the OXO Good Grips Swivel Peeler

sharp enough to get through the peel of butternut which is what I wanted. I loved the part that takes out the eyes of potatoes. The grip is wonderful. This peeler and well-made and should stay sharp and last for years (as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher-just rinse and put away).

For years, YEARS I have been going to my brothers and occasionally helping peel the odd vegetable. I always LOVED his potato peeler. I hinted again and again that I REALLY, REALLY wanted the exact same peeler because literally I loved it. Anyway fast forward to this Christmas and I was peeling vegetables at my brothers again and loving his potato peeler as per usual. And I’m like YOU KNOW WHAT I’m finding it. I’m getting it. I need this. So I reverse image search his potato peeler and LO AND BEHOLD there it is. On the Amazon. Now I don’t get my hopes up too much because I’m used to disappointment in my life. BUT it arrives and I say to my family “WE ARE HAVING MASH TONIGHT I HAVE A NEW POTATO PEELER I HAVE TO TRY IT OUT”. So I get it out the packaging and I’m trembling with excitement. I start to peel and IT IS THE SAME. Oh my goodness I was so happy. I called my child in to use it, I asked my partner to use it. “IT’S SO EASY TO USE YOU GUYS I AM THROWING MY OLD POTATO PEELER AWAY”. And I kid you not, every time I peel a vegetable now, in my very own home, I am having a great time. This is the best potato peeler in the world ever. YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIVES IT WILL COMPLETE YOU AND ALL YOUR VEGETABLE PEELING NEEDS. FIVE STARS!!
