USB 3.0 19 Pin Male To USB 2.0 9 Pin Female Motherboard Cable Adapter ale/Female Housing Converter (9Pin Male 12cm)

I bought this to connect the Bluetooth part of my Wifi card to the motherboard. I didn't have any 9 pin connections left, I plugged this into the 19 pin connector and the 9 pin from the Bluetooth into the other end of the cable. It worked perfectly, I now have a Bluetooth connection to my PC. Perfect.

Well it is cheap. And it's a well known phrase 'you get what you pay for'. Does it convert a USB 3 header to USB 2? - yes it does. Does it work? well,....yes. But try to remove it from the motherboard. Impossible without destroying it! Even after the thing crumbled I had to use pliers to pry it out. These type of plugs absolutely have to be molded - that's why case manufacturers use sturdy molded adapters for the front USB ports. There is just a cheap, plastic, flimsy shroud covering the back of the plug. It isn't attached or glued. So the first thing that happens when you try to remove it, is the shroud moves revealing the pins. So buy it if you want a cheap throw-away solution that you use only once. But you really will only be able to use it once!

Whilst the product worked just fine when used, after deciding to move to another usb 3.0 socket for better cable management reasons I discovered it was very difficult to remove. After having to resort to using some force to remove (slight force and wiggling which removes 99.9% of my other cables didn't work) it ripped out the plastic casing around the usb 3.0 header. This has now damaged my £300 motherboard. If you still buy this just make sure you don't want to remove it any time soon!

This USB 3 to USB 2 adapter cable was exactly what I wanted. It is very well made and sturdy.

Absolutely terrible. Plugged into one of my USB 3 headers, then went to remove it to move it to another for better cable management and it immediately snapped with very little force. The rest of the plug is lodged in the socket and cannot be removed ruining my expensive X570 motherboard. DO NOT BUY!

Works well, no Problems as of yet. Restored my Bluetooth, happy for a quick fix. USB Mobo headers are a rare commodity on some boards. This is a way to make one if your case doesn’t need the JUSB port.
