The media could not be loaded. I host many gatherings at my home for friends and family through the year, and I wanted to look for decoration that would add a bit of fun and flair to my event. These rope lights are very durable and bright. I have used them both indoors and outdoors and they have been working great. It was more durable than I had expected and not flimsy like Christmas string lights. I find them functional because they create a nice ambience in the dark when I set it up at night.One of the features I like the most is the remote control. It allows me to turn on/off the lights, with 8 different modes and ability to adjust the brightness level.It’s a great purchase and I’ll probably grab another one so I have one outdoors and one indoors without having to keep moving it around.Update 2/21: after one month of usage, still working great!

These worked very nicely after dark. I brought these battery-powered lights on a camping trip to provide some fun and festive lighting in my children's tent. They are like a very thin string of rainbow-colored fairy lights in aquarium tubing. It was very easy to slip through the little tabs to hang inside the tent. The attached controller cycles through the light modes, or you can select a mode with the remote. They are barely noticeable during the day time, but at night they are nice and bright. (Not enough light to read by, but enough to see what's in the tent and to set a a party atmosphere.) The batteries lasted my entire trip and are still going strong. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Decked out my antique truck with these lights for a Christmas parade. Worked out pretty well once it was dark. Ordered three 40ft strings. Two on the truck, and one on the Christmas tree in the bed. Could have been brighter, as others have said. Why I gave just 4 stars. Bright enough on the tree in the house, though. Had them lit for 5-6 hours, the alkaline batteries did not give out. Running them now on NiMH rechargeables also with good success. So great to not have cords running everywhere! And the remote works great. What a convenience! Just one other downer (mentioned by others). The coiling of the plastic tubing seems to be permanent and keeps the lights from laying on the tree naturally.

Purchased to decorate the golf cart. Bright, clear colors but not blinding bright. Remote works well. Good plastic casing to protect against weather.

These rope lights are great....so far. I’ve had them wrapped on my balcony railing for just over a week and they’re working very well. I haven’t used any of the flashing or blinking options - I like them to shine steadily. I’ve received compliments on them from my neighbors, and the price of the lights was certainly reasonable. A friend gave me a waterproof pouch to put the battery pack in, even though it’s not in danger of getting wet during a rain storm unless we have something close to a hurricane! The balconies in my building don’t have electrical outlets, so short of paying a lot of money to have one installed, here lights are the perfect option. They’re bright and colorful - just what I wanted. I bought one length of lights (40’) and they more than adequately decorated my railing. I’ve tried many other exterior illumination options and these so far are proving to be the best.

Works great and easy to use lights are bright

I’m the PTA president for my daughters elementary school and I use these lights for all sorts of night time events- to light up curbing to prevent tripping; I drilled holes in 36” garden stakes and threaded the lights through for lit up stanchions; I’ve used them on tables for centerpieces. They’re so versatile and durable. My only complaints are the tubing kinks easily and I wish you could hold down the power button to turn them off rather than cycle through all the settings.

Great value for the money. Spruced my golf cart up for a festive parade.
