Robert the Astrologer
Frances Sakoian and Louis S. Acker are two highly illumined astrologers.Their two seminal works, The Astrologer's Handbook & Predictive Astrology are a must have for any astrologer's library. No matter what your degree of expertise; you will want to have these two books. I'm a seasoned astrologer; adept in both eastern and western techniques of chart erection and interpretation; I own multiple copies and would never be without them. Thirty years later and I'm still referring to them everyday of my life. It just doesn't get better than these two books; to put this in proper perspective; I have well over 600 books on astrology and related subject matter in my library; some of these works date back over 1,500 years and were originally written in Sanskrit. I put The Astrologer's Handbook and Predictive Astrology right up there with the very best of the very best. When it comes to learning astrology; it is very difficult to remember every planetary configuration and its meaning; therefore, to learn this science properly an astrologer must understand the underlying principles as to why a planetary configuration defines in such a unique manner. These authors teach the reader as well as inform them; you will learn the reasons; WHY, specific principles define a planetary configuration, and not just the HOW definition of a planet's placement.

Another 'must have'!
As a certified, professional astrologer, I started out on all three of the books that the authors have written. This book deals primarily with transits, but has some valuable information on the scout planet, the cutting planet, anaretic degrees, minor aspects, and much more. These discussions have become "dated" over the years, but the information is priceless, and no less true then as it would be now.As working with Transit forecasts, as every astrologer must master, this book is invaluable in giving interpretations for every planet, house, aspect, all three, when having to work with the Natal Chart, comparing it to the present, "tranisiting" planets. All three books by the author(s) are highly recommended.

I learn something on every page.
Really good readable book on TRansitis and predictive astrology. Its rare that I can truthfully say, that I never really have any problem following the text; and still learn something new on every page. Great book.
