Easy to use,worked good,nice little emergency kit

Worked perfect and the tool was easy to use. Only one button was separated from the screw head.

I wanted to add a removable rug to my boat that wouldn't take to the air at speed. The rug is a 24x48 non-slip model made for home kitchen use. As such, it has a "rubber" coating on the back and a low weave on the front. The idea was to mount snaps on the four corners and in the middle of the long sides, then screw in the other ends to the carpeted wood sole (floor).Installation was a 'snap'! They are long enough to get through the weave and the rubber backing, and appear to on solidly. The opposing posts screw in well and feel solidly mounted. They also blend in with minimal visual distraction. Connection of the rug to the posts is somewhat flimsy. It does not feel as sturdy or secure as the rest of the canvass on the boat.First time out, the rug held, even at speed. Second time, held just as well. People have now walked on the rug and it hasn't budged. If it continues to held, this set is worth 5 stars. The kit includes 50 sets of fasteners, a punch, and a die that protects the snap on installation. A great-looking kit that I hope continues to hold well.

Perfect snap kit, used it to repair broken / missing snaps on a boat cover, and it was simple. The snaps are high quality, and the kit includes the tools needed. All you need is a small hammer to peen the two-piece open-ended snap with the included reamer. The snap bases screw into the opposite surface with a screwdriver. I didn't need to replace any of the base snaps on my boat, the existing bases were compatible, but the installation of the base is easy to do.I plan on buying another kit as a spare.

Great product for replacing missing snaps. I used it on my searay canvas. They go on easily and say put, but I am still careful in removing the snaps when I take off the canvas and I never let guests do it, as they tend to grab the canvas above the snap area, pull hard and cause problems. The best things guests on our boat can do, is sit down and shut up! We don't need their 'help!'

You get what you pay for, thin metal and cheap. The snaps come apart fairly easily. The snap is strong.. enough. The fabric connection is good as it is mechanical. The base where you screw in is FRAGILE. I installed 12 snaps and 4 broke in the first 3 minutes of testing taking them on and off. I don't know what is heavy-duty about these snaps, but these are by far not heavy-duty. Once used, it's not like you can send them back. Very disappointing. Easy to install but don't count on strength.
