amika perk up talc-free dry shampoo

My FAVORITE dry shampoo always. As a girl with naturally greasy appearing hair, I’ve tried a plethora of dry shampoos and none ever compare to this. It makes my hair look freshly washed without leaving behind any chalky/white residue. Not to mention the amazing scent. I don’t buy it all of the time since it has a higher price point, but when I do splurge and get it I’m always impressed.

Very light, non greasy. Doesn't transfer color to hair, but also isn't formulated to enhance blonde hair color like formulations with blue pigment. Still works well at fighting greasy, makes my hair soft and smooth, and great scent! Added to my forever collection.

I really like the way this product makes my hair feel, very soft and light, not weighted down like some dry shampoos can do. The smell is amazing as well! Spray it on, let it set for a couple minutes, then use the fingertips to get it on the scalp and hair good and I can go another day or two without washing! Lots of body from this as well!

FIRST NOTE: Amika's can is very slick, and it's fat, this makes it difficult for me to hold, so I wrapped two very thick rubber bands around it near the top where I hold it, to give it some traction.I've tried a few of these dry shampoos over the years, with very little to no success at all, but the need remains so I decided to try again.Amika's Dry Shampoo, I'm delighted to report, REALLY IS VERY DIFFERENT and stands out from the rest. It does the job, and does it WELL!It did not leave my scalp, hair and clothing or the bathroom filled with white powder, to be sure there was some, a very slight amount of dust, but really very slight and so easily brushed out, away, and GONE!Photo 1: My hair two days after shower, the oil is progressing, I need to clean this up NOW. I flipped my head over upside down, brushed it out, did some spraying, flipped back up, did a little spraying, brushed it out. Hmm... needed more. I flipped it over again, pulled it up and out here and there, spraying in it at the roots, mussed it a bit, then let it sit a bit. I had to let it sit a minute. This took a few more sprays of Amika than I thought it would, basically, there was more oil underneath my hair than I thought there was.Photo 2: My Clean Hair, by Amika! My hair is soft and smooth and it smells wonderful.It didn't cling like talc, I couldn't even see it. It didn't cause static electricity in my hair and clothing like talc. It didn't grey out my hair like talc. You WILL however see my hair go from dark to light. Why? Because oil darkens hair of course.Amika's Dry Shampoo Spray simply found the oil in my hair and scalp, soaked it up and took it away and left my hair clean and scented nicely. My SO is impressed, (he was there for the before and after), he said he might be trying it out too. He and I are very drought conscious here in Southern California, we clean up, but use as little water as we can.***UPDATE***Photo 3: My Clean Hair, by Amika, on day 8! I wanted to see how far I could push it; yes it still looked and smelled clean, but the powder was more there this time, and it was a little more difficult to remove all of it. I can say however that Amika is worth every penny, I sent a can of it to my daughter J.*****UPDATE*****PHOTO ORDER. I'm not sure anything can be done about this, unless I number the pics in order. Maybe if I put them in backwards for Amazon to rearrange in the opposite fashion, again? *sigh* Being anal retentive is such a . . .

My favorite dry shampoo! I keep purchasing this over and over again. I have tried other brands but this works the best! Smell is fantastic and your hair feels fresh!

Actually the only type of hairspray/ dry shampoo any product that I love. It helps my greasy frizzy hair in the morning look less insane! Nice smell, doesn’t leave any residue or anything on your hair. Perfect and subtle

Purchased this at first at a local store and loved how it didn’t make my hair feel course or gritty. And dry feeling Has a great scent that last all day. Doesn’t leave a residue like other dry shampoos I have purchased. Which I would tie my hair back cuz the dry shampoo left my hair flat and unmanageableI can go 4/5 days without washing my hair and I have very oily hair and my hair looks great. It is a little on the expensive side but it’s worth it if you want to have your smelling and looking great for days without washing.

Hard to decide how to rate this product. I usually love this dry shampoo but after using it twice, it stopped spraying. Still a full bottle but nothing comes out and no, its not clogged. I didn't use it until past return by date to get a new one so I'm SOL and for the price it is...ouch. I'm not sure if it was a defective bottle or something has changed with the company. Btw, it sprayed fine the first use so just be aware.Otherwise I love this product. Not much white residue like other dry shampoos and it smells great without leaving you smelling like a perfume factory or a bottle of baby powder lol.
