5 Film Collection Dirty Harry (DVD)

As I understand it this collection comes in different cases & possibly formats. I received a rather cool collection with a cardboard sleeve surrounding the plastic DVD case, with a close up of " Dirty" Harry's Badge. As I stated this may vary from order to order. As far as the product quality very good for the price! not any special features but what more do you want getting the entire " Dirty" Harry franchise for under $10! " Dirty" Harry...what a strange epithet for an Inspector in the homicide division! As in the world of the police "Dirty" implies " Crooked", I think they should have called him " Bloody" Harry...kind of like Bloody Mary, or Killer Callahan. I really couldn't pass up this deal to be able to add this franchise to my entertainment library. As I stated in my header "Dirty Harry is to the police movie genre what " The Man with No Name/ A Fist full of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More &The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. Some movies or franchises are important milestone in cinema. Like the Death Wish franchise. I try & avoid spoilers because younger movie enthusiast may be watching these for the 1st time. So I will say you will hear " taglines" that have so permeated Pop Culture you will learn where they came from & why it's funny to hear them in The Simpsons & other movies. For those older folks that grew up watching these films, well for me it was a blast! It has been so long since watching them to play them in order was like watching them again for the 1st time...sort of, LOL. For the price you can't go wrong adding this franchise to your entertainment library! My entertainment library is unique, in that I may add something I don't necessarily desire if its very important historically. while these movies are very enjoyable a better example would be me adding Michael Jacksons greatest hits CD. in my library. While I personally am not a huge fan of the bulk of Mr. Jacksons later material it is most defiantly worthy of being in my collection as my grandchildren can research why he was considered the " King of Pop"! Purchase with confidence.

A good thrilling movie.

Great buy for the money. Vintage Eastwood of course. I prefer DVD over streaming.

Clint Eastwood’s classic. He used a Smith&Wesson .44 caliber revolver in the film, each shot incredibly impactful. The film also showcases the street scenes of San Francisco more than 50 years ago. Of these five films, “Magnum Force” is my favorite.

If a real-life law enforcement officer fired off as many rounds as Dirty Harry did, he'd still be filling out the paperwork today. In the late sixties, the trend was for concern for the criminal's well-being to start getting ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, when it comes to due process, I'm way left of center. The Dirty Harry movies each had a different theme. Dirty Harry was chasing down a psychopath, and after getting information on the whereabouts of a young girl, he buried her alive, only to find out she had been dead for quite some time. The evidence (rightfully so) was tossed due to lack of due process. Magnum Force Harry is faced with a group of rogue cops who are taking the law into their own hands. After Harry learned who they were, he was offered to join them, and when he refused, they set their sights on him. "The Enforcer", after one of Harry's fiascos, he's busted to Personnel. He is part of a group whose job it is to interview and promote to detective. When he learns that there's a "quota" and a person from the Mayor's office is there to oversee things. This leads to one of the funniest moments of any of the movies.

i have seen all these movies already, but now i own them and look forward to seeing them again. also the seller was awesome
