If you read the instructions, it works great!
I have a very old wireless chime set that stopped working. I checked the voltage of the "N" battery and it was low so I replaced it but to no avail - it still did not work! This was perhaps the third time the push button switch ceased functioning. But when I starting looking for a replacement I discovered the old style (that used a bank of 8 jumper locations) was not available. This one had many reviews that stated it did not work in spite of Heath saying it would! When I pushed the button initially, it did not work. Then I turned to the directions (don't you hate when you have to do that!) and saw the push button had to synced to the chime. When I did that, it worked perfectly!

Excellent Installation Instructions & Easy Sync Directions
The Heath Zenith Wireless Push Button instructions were easy to follow. First showing graphics of setup the switch for different models of door chimes and how to choose which one is yours. Second showed how to setup the switch and sync it to the door chime. Within a couple of minutes, the chime was back in service and working. The Heat Zenith Wireless Push Button arrived very well packaged and all mounting hardware is included, including the battery to operate the wireless switch. Highly recommend this wireless switch.

Drains battery overnight
It did then didn't work. It worked as long as the battery lasts but within a day or two it doesnt work after it drains the battery entirely. There is obviously a parasitic issue with the circuit board.

Sync was the Easy Part - Why 4 Stars ?
I bought this Heath Zenith (H/Z) SL-7393-03 Wireless push button because my old DL-6197 Wireless pushbuttons had bit the dust. Their operation in a salt marsh environment had always been spotty. I have an old Westminster Chime H/Z model SL-6166-RX-A (back label says Desa, but it was sold as Heath Zenith). According to the manufacturer, this wireless push button would work with ALL the Heath Zenith wireless doorbells. Syncing was the easy part. All you do is remove the battery (and protective orange tab), Leave battery out for 30 seconds and within 60 seconds of placing the battery back in position, hold the push button down for 5-7 seconds and you should hear a ding, then the full chiming of the doorbell. Mine worked!! I should mention that you also need to change your DIP switches or jumpers so that positions 1 & 2 are โonโ or jumped, and in my case position 8 also needed to be jumped in order for the Westminster bells to sound. (See photo of manual) Everything about the instructions was extremely straightforward and easy to follow. So why the downgrade?? To me this is a big deal - in order to mount the push button back in place, I must drill the backplate to match the holes for a โstandardโ wired doorbell. (See photo) That is where the old holes and wood backing is in my stucco home. So now we are into another 15 minutes of work and maybe I will get lucky and not break something and the plate will work even though I will be drilling through bracing in the brittle plastic. Which brings me to the 2nd troubling item. Taking the battery out and replacing it, I broke one of the four โwingsโ which hold the CR2032 battery in place. (See photo) Brittle plastic is expected after 10 or 15 years of exposure, but not on a brand new item. Grabbed the superglue and maybe it will hold. Two other irritations: 1) the screws and single jumper are placed in a cellophane bag which then has a a piece of tape wrapped around it. The ends of the tape are almost invisible and it took me 5 minutes to unwrap the new jumper and mounting screws. 2) you actually need two jumpers to enable your doorbell for this wireless push button. There is only one jumper included in the package. This will be a big deal if you donโt have extra jumpers lying around. The good news for me was my original ringer used 5 jumpers for the security code. I moved two of them to positions 1-2 and left one on position 8 to enable the Westminster sound. Canโt yet comment on longevity of the 2032 battery compared to the 23-A 12 volt of many of the pushbuttons, but hard to imagine it would be worse. Also, the back of the unit itself looks more integrated than the one it replaces. (See photo) Time will tell whether it is built to live up to the salt marsh. I will post back if there is a problem.

Replacement for old push button
I needed a replacement for an 18 year old push button for my doorbell. This worked perfectly. There is one thing to take into account when installing. Make sure to read the instructions to sync the button to the chime unit. You have to put the battery in the button, and then hold the button for 5 to 7 seconds to sync to the chime. It took me a while to figure this out, but when I did, it synced immediately. This was a lot cheaper than replacing the whole unit.

Short range
It works fine but it has no range. The receiver is only 12feet away. I had to move it about 2 feet. Only then it works

Great for Cooperative Apartment
Exact replacement for item purchased almost 17 years ago. Didn't even have to replace the baseplate. The new bell attached right to the old baseplate. Easy peasy!

Will only work with a certain brand doorbell!
Is well made but did not work with my doorbell (Dongguan Smart Hero purchased at Home Depot) so I had to buy another model doorbell to get the job done.
