Narcos: Season 3 - DVD

This English language 8hr & 49min. version plays fine for American DVD players.
I purchased this dvd because I don't have (nor want) cable tv... first two seasons (loaned from the library) were excellent, Pablo Pascal (the only "spoiler" I'll share is this guy is oberon martell from game of thrones) is stellar & it's just good, engaging & exciting TV. Pablo is, no doubt, on his way to an "oscar." Let's keep our eyes open...(I hope he doesn't get "robbed" of it as another brilliant actor, Michael Wincott, has been.)BTW, this is the 2-disc, 8 hrs & 49 min. version - English language w/English subtitles when performers speak spanish.

This should be listed on the UK AMAZON 😡Will NOT play in US‼️⚠️
This will not play in the United States and it should be listed on the proper Amazon UK website. Nowhere on the listing does it say it’s region, so when people in the US search for it they will think it will play. If I was reviewing the actual Netflix show Narcos Season 3 I’d give it 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but this seller KNOWS it shouldn’t be listed here. Because it costs SO MUCH to return it people just keep it and take the hit from losing money. Not cool. I WAS approved from the seller to return it, but when you read the stipulation is clearly says “no returns if the plastic is removed from the Blu-ray/DVD” AND the return label that’s available to print says “NO POSTAGE PAID”, so you have to pay to ship it back to the UK. I hope the seller does the right thing and updated the listing to reflect all of this so the next buyer doesn’t get screwed like we did. What’s that brown stuff that comes out of the backside of a bull? 💩 Exactly. 🤬

Good Thied Season
The third season was as good as the first two seasons. Good acting & writing. A lot of violence, but it seemed authentic to the plot.

Who inherited the cocaine business after the demise of the Medellin and Cali cartels
I have followed the history of the Colombian cartels: Medellin, Cali and Norte del Valle. This particular series deals with the war between the Cali and Norte del Valle cartels. I could stop watching all the DVDs in one session. They were so intense! Excellent, magnificent production.

Follows previous season but one character is missing and I think it was and is needed.
With missing person, another partner, it comes up a little light. One person is not enough to make the role work as it should.

A fine continuation
This third series of NARCOS is pretty much what you'd expect if you've seen the first two seasons: extremely well-staged narrative with a handful of properly-gripping set-pieces [ the drilling-through-the-shower-wall sequence, anyone? ], rich cinematography, very high production values and a genuine sense of the exotic from all the real-world location shooting. The fact that it was shot at 5K lends it a hyper-realism, and intimacy which contributes to some of its visceral impact. What it doesn't have is Wagner Moura, the force of nature who said his goodbyes in the last episode of Season Two.Replacing him is a trio of proper bad-asses in the form of the lead gentlemen of the Cali Cartel, who do a sterling job of providing the requisite menace, and unpredictability. One last thing: why, oh why wasn't I a major-league narco-trafficker in Columbia 20 years ago - even if only for a few months? To paraphrase Alan Rickman, I'd now be lying on a beach, earning twenty per cent. . .WOW.

Very Good!
This series does a great job of depicting the brutality of the drug empire. I don't care if people take drugs. If we allow drinking and SMOKING then drugs are just another vice. BY making drugs illegal this series "not by design" shows the horrifying underworld we create by policing what we do in private. I DO NOT THINK DRUGS ARE GOOD. I just think that the carnage by making drugs illegal outways the the damage that a drug user does to their bodies and people that care about them. I know that this is a "review" and not a "soapbox" but this is what I took away from watching this series. It is very good. Oh' I forgot, if there is a ton of money involved, in any endeavor its seems to "invite crime". Cheers!

Great third series
If you enjoyed Narcos Series 1 and 2 then this is a must buy. That said you could also view it as a stand alone as although there are some character cross overs it covers a different Cartel story line. Series 1 and 2 deals mainly with the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar whilst Series 3 deals with the heights and struggles of the Cali Cartel in southern Columbia and elsewhere. As you might expect the series is full of drugs, guns and violence but is in my opinion as good as the previous two series.

Excellent
**Contains spoilers** Box set containing all ten episodes of season three spread across three DVDs. This seasons' focus is on the Cali cartel. All of the main players here are interesting although not quite as engaging as Wagner Moura's Pablo Escobar from the first two seasons. In all other regards I found it just as enjoyable. Things get tense and very early on and it doesn't ease up. It's a frightening mix of violence, drugs, paranoia and corruption. Highly recommended.

Awesome!
This is probably my favourite season. The first season takes a while to get in to, but you really get into it.I was sceptical about watching this season as Pablo (sorry for the spoiler) is now dead, but Cali cartel are ruthless and the way they have taken over with Pablo leaving is gripping.Highly recommend watching this!
