Solving Single: How to Get the Ring, Not the Run Around

One of the best books I've ever read in my life! I've read other books that were similar in terms of message such as Why Men Love Bitches and He's Not Into You etc but this was the best in terms of bluntness and being actionable. Actionable meaning that it gives you actionable steps that you can literally take in order to build your self confidence. It also covers positive thinking and some Law of Attraction elements that can be used to change your life. It's also a lot more detailed and tells you exactly what you've been doing wrong (as well as how to fix it) Among the prolific self-help books for women this one should be on the top of the list as it's better than many of the more well known best sellers.I have always been the awkward and corny female btw; the type that would get extremely anxious around a "top shelf man" and as a result would just engage in counter-conversation, giggle etc. I never realized how terrible my personality was. I've had so many problems with men in my life. My last one took me out for frozen yogurt (I'm in my 30s btw and I paid for myself) and then wanted to "come over and chill". I didn't realize how important it was not to be the "come over and chill chick" until I read this book.The part where the author mentioned that a woman wasn't special just because she was able to take care of herself also hit me quite hard. For many years I thought I was very special because I was an "independent woman" with a job and my own place.Btw, I am not black and this book is aimed towards black women but the author's message is truly universal for all nationalities and races. No matter what country you are in men are all the same and they ALL either classify you as a "game changer" or "placeholder". You don't know how many relationship forum posts I've read where the woman was just a placeholder and didn't realize it. It's epidemic.If you have problems with men this book will teach you how to build confidence, develop an interesting personality and stop being a bottom bitch or placehholder. Stop being the girl that he spends time with but unwilling to marry for a multitude of a reason because when Ms Right comes along he will dump you like a hot potato and you won't know what hit you.The author is a genius. The level at which he understands relationships is really something... I guess maybe if you are very experienced and have incredible confidence and self-esteem it may come more natural for you but it's a game changer for someone like myself.I found out about this book because a lot of people online mentioned "Ho Tactics". I was amazed at the information I found in that book (which I also highly recommend) so I wanted to read the author's other books as well. Solving Single is for women who want a vanilla relationship and Ho Tactics for those who want to parlay their new knowledge and confidence to finding a sponsor.A lot of women think it's enough for them to be cute but it's not. Men nowadays are using PUA, push and pull and every technique available to game you. If you have no game of your own and on top of that have low self-esteem and low standards, you are going to end up getting played. The only con is that I could not find a Table of Contents making it hard to jump to specific chapters (I got the Kindle version). This book is a must-have!

I have been a fan of the blog blackgirlsareasy.com for years....I literally read through every single blog he had written up to that point when I discovered it in one day! I loved his writing style, witty euphemisms, the photographs he used to compliment the subject matters, and the topics he wrote about were so very relatable! I was so impressed I even sent him an e-mail to thank him for creating and consistently maintaining the blog with fresh reads. AND HE RESPONDED!!! My respect went even further and I became a fan (albeit quietly--I don't like to comment on public forums). When I read that he was writing a book, I sent him several e-mails to find out when it was going to be in the bookstores. I could not wait for his book to drop and I knew I would purchase a copy immediately because I dream of writing a book myself and I wanted to support him in the ways that his blog has supported me. I pretty much have memorized most of his blogs, (I reread them frequently as a refresher--I'm a SPARTAN BABY) so I was hoping the book would have even more insight into the male psyche and provide even more advice. I was so impatient waiting on the delivery of my book so I could dig in and enjoy! He did recycle a great deal of the material from his blog and remixed the wording so that he may reach a wider audience, but those are his creative works and not everyone is as obsessed with his blog as me so it will definitely be a fresh read for a lot of consumers! I highly, highly recommend this book for women who are willing to look into themselves and be willing to change the things they do to alienate the men in their lives. To understand a man, you need a man to tell you what the real scoop is and the author did that in such an awesome manner that some guys may be tempted to revoke his man-code card. LOL! But ladies, this website changed my mentality on men and changed my life. I cannot express enough how real the information in this book is and it's been tested and proven by moi for over 2 years. I really hope this book becomes a best seller and the author (who I still refer to as NC-17) has much success and becomes a household name!

I just got the book today, so my rating might be a bit premature, but I have not put it down since it arrived. The advice is raw and real. So, if you're looking for some sugar coated nonsense you might want to look elsewhere. This book is perfect for women like myself who are tired of trying to navigate through the b.s, and with this book I think I've found the GPS to entering the dating world again. What I like most about the book so far is that it is not about becoming someone a man will love but becoming and evolving into the YOU that YOU will love and hence attract the man that will love you too. He actually recognizes the beauty in the female prowess-- a prowess that is very significant. I will edit this review once I finish the book, which by the looks of it won't be long.Oh, and I must add, I also appreciate that the author is accessible. I emailed him after reading an article on his blog and he actually responded to me with some of the realest and most sincere advice that I have ever been given. Not sure if the author reads these reviews, but I want him to know I'm grateful.Update:I finished this book in about a week, but am just now getting around to editing this review. My original review still stands and I will be using this book as reference guide for my future interactions with men. I think my BS radar was there all along, now with this book I know to listen to it.

Good read. No, it is rather a great read. It is a guide on how to get the man YOU want regardless of your "shortcomings". He is brutally honest.You won't like it at first if you don't have humility. Then you realize how valuable his infos on men are.You will never be played again.

Honestly this book is probably the best book I have bought in the past 2 years, I have never really been big on relationship books but hands down this book helped me to understand a lot about relationships and how I may come across to potential partners. I literally read this book in 2 days flat and went straight back to the beginning to re-read it again, this is the first time I have ever done this!! What you will honestly get out of this book is a modern take on relationships based on the 90's generation, it uses references that are applicable to today's culture and that in it's self makes this a great read! I will definitely recommend this to EVERYONE!

Wish I had read this book years ago.I would have saved a lot of time, confusion and heartache.Highly recommend, love the brutal honesty
