WORKPRO 10.8" Portable Mini Metal Tool Box with Removable Color-Matching Tray, One-Button Latch Toolbox I just noticed this is a "mini" tool box, the listing even calls it "compact" and warns people to confirm the size before purchasing - which is valid, people need to do that more often on Amazon in general. I'm tired of seeing 1* reviews on various items from people saying "I thought it would be bigger" This metal tool box measures 10.8" x 5.9" x 5.2" and weighs 2.95 lbs. It includes a removable tray (10.1" x 5.4" x 1.3"). It will be okay for small tools and everyday essentials. I passed on a nice cordless drill recommended to me on Vine recently. I thought it was too expensive that day, but I have regretted it since. However, I think it would have been too large to fit in this box for reference. The tool box is built from heavy-duty cold-rolled steel and has a protective powder coating that resists rust and scratches for lasting durability. It has a push-button latch that opens with one touch for easy access. A secure lock prevents accidental opening during transport I currently don't own many tools besides a set that came in a case. I thought about putting all the larger pieces from it in the bottom of this tool box, and the smaller ones up top, but it makes sense to try to return them to their case as often as possible to make sure nothing is missing... so I placed it in the bottom of the tool box. This is when I realized how awkwardly designed the inside of the toolbox is. It is nice that there is a removable tray sure, but... the metal brackets that hold this tray are absurdly larger than they need to be. they made it hard to put that case in the bottom of the box. I included photos of the case lying neatly in the box, once I have navigated the physics of moving around the shelves... once it's in there there is plenty of extra room... but the dang brackets protrude so far, I took a photo of what it is like to be stymied trying to put the case into the box. Now, this is my first tool box, maybe they are always like this and it is unfair to deduct a star for this design, but it feels like a real error. There is quite a bit of available space around my case in there once it's laying flat, it's wild that it's so difficult to get it in there. It isn't just the side brackets either, the front is a genuine problem as well. I expect the big hunk of metal at the front for for the locking mechanism is probably there on most toolboxes, but it was part of the problem of adding my case in as well - making the side brackets all the more of an issue to resolve. For now, for what I own, this will work out just fine. I literally just have my case of tools in the bottom and a level up tip. I might remember some other small things to add, but I don't really think so. Tools have always been my partners thing, but he misplaces his stuff so often I want to have my own. I'm a 51 year old woman who has thought she should have her own tools for nearly 30 years now! I remember commenting on my brothers and brother n laws getting tools for Christmas but I never did, back in my 20's and thought that I should have tools then. But better late than never! I decided to go with pink stuff so it would be unarguably mine!

It's true to size as-advertised: 10.8"L x 5.9"W x 5.2"H. With its Solid Steel construction, it's very rugged and durable, unlike common plastic organizers, this metal box is made of rugged steel, giving it a premium, "old-school" vibe and feels better-equipped at protecting our contents here at the office workshop. It has good material weight and heft, and includes an internal plastic tray that matches the exterior red color, and features an ergonomic PP plastic handle for comfortable and easy carrying. For me, the interior tray is perfect for separating small items like screws, stationery, or bolts from larger tools below. My humble TIP: Although it's metal, its not water-proof, so keep that in mind. At just under 11 inches, it is sized perfectly for a workshop drawers, a car trunk, or a hobbyist's work-bench. We have two of these so far, and for us, we find the metal walls provide a level of durability that cheaper plastic alternatives simply can't match. The locking mechanism is decent and perfect for DIY/Hobbyist or Office/Home use. It’s ideal for those who need a durable, compact tool box for smaller essentials without the bulk of a full-sized contractor's box. This gets my 100% Tried-and-True 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Rating! I love this WORKPRO 10.8" Portable Mini Metal Tool Box with Removable Color-Matching Tray. This toolbox is the perfect size for all my little doodads that I use to test out metals and jewelry especially vintage jewelry. Everything fits so nice and neat in here even my rechargeable black light flashlight. I love this little kit period now I can go over there at my bright metal toolbox and find my items very easily instead of having them scattered all over my workspace. I love how easy it is to lock and unlock and there's plenty of storage for what I need. The metal and the paint job are of a wonderful quality and I like the pink. I love the fact that this toolbox is the perfect size and it's not too heavy I can even carry it with me if I need to go help out a friend and check out some of her stuff. It's well worth the money to me

This tool box is great quality apart from one minor manufacturing error. It is missing a rivet on the top of the box. The handle was a bit wobbly but I stuck a screw through the hole and managed to give it a quick fix. Still a quality issue unfortunately though. I find the button push to open the box easy to use. It's easy to press and the latch shuts he box securely. It holds quite a lot honestly. All my most used little tools fit in it nicely. I like the material. It feels durable and well made apart from the rivet issue. The color is just an added bonus! It's such a gorgeous light blue!

Metal toolboxes are the way to go, and wife said that ones pretty so got the baby blue. Not a workshop box, more like a drawer organizer with a handle. Outside is steel, powder coat, no paint flaws. Push button latch, have to push in and pull up on the lid to open, snaps shut good. One real gripe: the tray is plastic, color matched to the box. Should be metal. I get why they did it, weight and cost both go up if you swap to steel, but still. Would have been nice. Fits screwdrivers, a mini driver, bit set, tape measure, small wrench set, the usual. Handle is plastic too but strong. This isn't a giant box for a ton of tools, it is a pleasant way to keep some stuff. Wife has it on her desk now holding craft stuff, thread, small scissors. Not a tool box in this house anymore. Five stars because she is happy with it.

I like how this toolbox has carry handle and a latch to allow it to be portable, unfortunately there are a few issues to point out. First is that the latching mechanism is inside the toolbox and takes up a lot valuable space. Second, the brackets that hold the upper tray are wider than they should be, limiting longer items from fitting into the bottom compartment. Third, the sheet metal used is an acceptable gauge, but not as thick as Harbor Freight's US General mini toolbox, which is 2/3 the cost of the Workpro. The finish is not the best, and a lot of orange peel in the paint can be seen as well. I feel a toolbox like this should be priced under $20.

I really needed a small toolbox for my craft tools, and this Workpro mini toolbox has worked out great for that. Even though it's made of metal, it isn't very heavy (but it also isn't flimsy). I've got at least 3x the box weight stored inside and, having opened/closed it frequently, I haven't had any issues with the hinge alignments. The size is compact, but practical. It’s great for keeping smaller tools or random essentials organized without digging through a larger toolbox. The removable tray helps separate things out so you’re not stacking everything in one pile, and it makes it easier to grab what you need quickly. The latch is simple and works smoothly, and the handle feels comfortable when carrying it around. The color makes it just absolutely adorable. It’s a grab-and-go box that's getting used way more than expected.
