An SI metric version of an old classic. Still good after all these years
I bought this book in the 1980s as an introduction to orbit calculations. It was a modest price and very clearly explained. The only snag was that it did not use SI metric units. This new version is almost the same, with a updates on measured quantities, and this time it's all metric, which makes calculations a little easier for those of us not used to US customary units. It's still a modest price and it's better than ever!

Spoilt by early typos
A five star book spoilt a little by stupid typos. A book that’s been around for fifty years and in it’s second edition should not have typos such as confusing ‘dot r’ with ‘double dot r’ in the section on conservation of angular momentum. Has Dover lost the typeset?

Excellent
It really helped me better understand orbits and transfers. I'd consider it more introductory or supplementary material if you're something like an aerospace undergrad
