BEST ALTERNATIVE TO A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD // READ MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU BUY
If you are into gaming then you may be already aware of cooler master. They are very popular for making PSU units and other gaming accessories. Personally I own a cooler master PSU for my computer and I am very satisfied with its performance.#INBOX CONTENTS:-Keyboard-User manualI bought this keyboard last week from amazon. Basically Cooler Master Devastator 2 is a Mem-chanical keyboard which feels like a mechanical keyboard. If you bought the combo version you will also get a mouse with this KB. This KB is LED backlit with single ,so you cannot change it. It is available in Red,blue and green LED versions. Just like the KB ,the mouse also uses single color LEDs.(mouse comes with combo version only)#KEYBOARD :The construction is done completely in plastic ,the quality seems very good. There isn't any metal frame like we see in mechanical keyboards but still it offers great resistance to bends. The keys are Cherry MX compatible so you can easily replace or customize it. There are few multimedia keys at the top which really stands out and are very accessible. In terms of its overall appearance, it is one of the most attractive keyboard available in this range. The edges and corners were rounded or angled rather than square and sharp, it may have been an improvement but as this is a 'compact' rather than standard size, and dimensions may be restricting design options. The keys aren't as clicky as a mechanical keyboard but are far better than normal memchannel keyboards. The travel distance between keys are very similar to mechanical keyboards making the typing experience pleasurable. It isn't the quietest of you the keyboard ,it does make some mushy click sound ,but nowhere as loud as mechanical keyboards. There is a 4cm wide wrist rest available ,which at first seems little smaller but after a few hours you will get used to it.I bought the RED LED version. The keys are semi transparent ,so with the LEDs ON you can easily see the key letters at night time. . As is now popular, the keys are black (more very deep grey) as is the board's deck. Without the back lighting, and in less bright room illumination, the key labeling may be otherwise difficult to read. As claimed by the brand these keys offer a whopping 12 million click life cycle which is just amazing.#MOUSE:(Only in combo purchase)The mouse is also made of plastic ,matte finish on top and sides are rubberized for better grip and comfort .The mouse is quite longer than normal mouse so the gaming experience is much better. Even if you are left handed you can easily use it. The left click and right click buttons provides good clicky feedback while the side "back and forward" buttons are little mushy to press. You can easily customize the DPI from 1000dpi to 2000 dpi.The only thing that really lets this mouse down though is the wheel. It has become quite squeaky which can be very annoying, and if my hands get sweaty playing games on hot days my fingers have a tendency to slip on the mouse wheel. Anyway that isn't anything to worry about.#All of the gaming keyboards I own have braided wires but sadly this gaming combo features a normal silicon coated cords which doesn't seem as durable as a braided cable.#GAMING WITH THIS KBI love playing GTA V ,FIFA AND COD ADVANCED WARFARE ,I tested all the three games with this keyboard and I have to say that its a pleasure to play games on this keyboard. In COD you can easily control the view and aim using the mouse you get with the combo version. The feedback the buttons provide is perfect ,you can easily know when a keypress is registered. Also the keys are perfectly spaced so you will not end up pressing wrong keys.CONCLUSIONOverall very good value for money and highly recommended for anyone working on a budget. This KB from cooler master proves to be a perfect alternative for a mechanical keyboard ,if you cannot afford one.. Ofcourse you can get gaming keyboards at much cheaper price but if you want something from a reputed brand ,then definitely go for this combo.I just wish I could brighten the led's ,anyway that isn't the case. Thanks for reading my review ,I hope it helps. For any further assistance please comment down below.RegardsAbraham

It's not full mechanical(spring) keyboard but it's great as semi/half/mem-chanical(rubber dome) for the price
It's not full mechanical(spring) keyboard but it's great as semi/half/mem-chanical(rubber dome) for the price. Quality equals the price for this product. The height or length of pressing the keys is not as high as a full mechanical keyboard which gives full mechanical keyboard it's feel on pressing with the spring popping back the caps . It's not that sensitive as full mechanical keyboard (where a slight press can be responsive). The pros is that it's smooth and light to press , response is good better height of pressing than ordinary membrane keyboard. But if price for this product is higher 1500 rupees go for a full mechanical keyboard, dont waste money.

Awesome Product for this price. Definitely go for this
Bought blue backlit keyboard.Got this keyboard in 999 that is itself a steal.Keyboard is big heavy and sturdy. You will not fell any wobble or slipping, as rubber pad are provided in bottom.Button response is good. You can't compare it with any mechanical switch. Considering the price it very good.Clicks are comfortable and button response is good both in typing as well gaming.Hand Rest is also comfortable.Keys become little transparent when viewed form an angle otherwise the backlit is good and fairly visible.Without the backlit symbols are barely visible on keyboard since letters are transparent.Symbols are embossed or keyboard so there is no fear that they will fade away. You can always change the keycaps as is compatible with mechanical keycaps.Cable quality is good and long enough. You have to switch on the backlit every time you start the PC.

Piece of Crap
Well this was a waste of time. I'm surprised to see that CoolerMaster worked so hard to make a keyboard that fails so miserably at pretending that it's a mechanical keyboard. At least 1st vision delivered what was expected from it, As soon as I unpacked the box I saw that almost all the keys had popped right off; if i didn't have my old keyboard lying around I would have seen a serious problem. If CM wouldn't have spent so long trying to make their keyboard something that it was not they would have made a much better keyboard.anyways it was the s***est product that i have ever bought on amazon.if i compare this keayboard with the range it is in this would be the last place holder amongst them.

Good gaming keyboard, but not for Excel Users
It is a tough USB keyboard, but this is not a mechanical keyboard. You are not going to experience that click feedback of the keys, while you type. keys are removable, you can replace them with any other compatible set available in market. The blue back-light of this keyboard is pretty cool. You can turn it on or off, but in normal light condition you will not able to read the letters if you have turned off the back-light.The only thing I didn't like about this keyboard is, the back-light switch is your scroll lock button. This means when you turned on back-light, you are actually turning on the scroll lock. For Excel users, it is very frustrating. For Gamers, it may not cause any problem. There are many links available online, which promise to fix the problem, but nothing worked for me.

Not great for typing.
It does feel like a mechanical keyboard on most counts, but there are a few issues with the stabilizers for the space-bar, enter-key and shift keys. Lots of wobble, and I catch myself pressing the shift key and return key all the way to the bottom without it registering a key-stroke (have been using this for almost 2 years, with a hiatus of 6 months)It is a lot more tiring on the hands than a regular membrane keyboard, especially for 10minutes/longer touch-typing.But if you're buying this just for gaming, It might hold the weight of button-mashing and repeated presses. (except if you use the spacebar a lot)Not a great purchase for me.
