Aprilaire/spacegard genuine oem replacement door seal 4725 for 4725 2200. Kit includes: 3 fiberglass pieces for the door and the other two for the ends of the plastic inner housing), foam gasket for the new style door and a foam strip for the back of the air cleaner cabinet. Review: Works, but cost is 6 times what it should be - Cost is way too high, but what do you do. I think you could buy the stuff in bulk and cut it yourself....should be about $5 Review: Nice product, seems to be a little high price for what you get, but works well. - I was vacuuming the existing fiberglass panel on my furnace air filter, and accidentally sucked it into my shop vac. It was super dirty already, and a little bit worse for wear, and so getting it sucked into my shop vac was the nail in its coffin. I decided it wasn't worth trying to fish it out and clean it off. This replacement set installed very quickly and easily. I used 3M spray glue, by spraying that on the plastic panel, and then sticking this replacement fiberglass panel onto that once the glue was tacky. Worked really well. I used masking tape and some cardboard to protect other areas when I was spraying the glue on before afixing the fiberglass. The one star removal is because it seems like this product should cost about $10 or more or less for what you're getting. Just seems priced unreasonably high, for what you're getting. Having said that, this does work well, without a need to try to make something else work and guess if it will perform well in your furnace air filter. So, even though the price is more than what I wanted to pay and more than I thought it should be, I would still buy this again, rather than trying to cobble something together (with some other type of foam or fiberglass pad).

Easy to Install
I replaced my furnace and A/C unit last July, but kept my old Aprilaire filtering unit since it was still working well and would've been a waste of money to purchase a new one. However, as I was replacing the old filter from one year ago I noticed the fiberglass panels on the inside of the filter case were black as soot, and wondered if there were replacements available for purchase. A quick Google search pointed me to Amazon and sellers that had these replacement parts. They arrived quickly, and I installed them with ease. The best thing was that I was able to completely vacuum out the entire case and surrounding area inside metal duct attached to the Aprilaire unit. Glad I did as I saw several "clumps" of objects and dirt that may have affected the performance of the filter unit. Now that it's all fresh and new I'm good for quite a few years but will replace them when needed. As always, the filter gets replaced once a year.

Worked perfectly
This was easy to change out and fit my Spacegard perfectly.

quality
Product was delivered quickly and easily installed. pleats appear to be better than those I had previously used. It may be due to the fact that the MERV rating is higher than what I used prior.

Expensive for what you get.
I used this product to replace old and dirty side filters on my Aprilair 2200. It was extremely Expensive for what appeared to be thin insulation and a rubber gasket. The insulation material is not self sticking, thus had to purchase an aerosol glue. One would think that the material would at least be self sticking for the price.

Expensive but works well
As many others have noted, you're paying a lot for what you get. At the same time, the three pieces of pink insulation are cut to just the right size, and if you've already scraped off the old insulation and cleaned the filter box, you can install these in under a minute. The pieces are cut to just the right size, and I haven't seen this pink insulation at Home Depot or Lowes. It's not pink fiberglass attic insulation. So everything is in the box and it's easy. All that said, you can, I am sure, buy window air conditioner at Lowes or Home Depot and cobble together a perfectly workable solution for under $10. That involve a trip to the hardware store, though, and measuring and cutting. You need one of those 5-in-1 painting scraper tools, a bottle of spray adhesive (3M or Loctite), a roll of paper towels and some Windex. The biggest, longest part of the job is cleaning off the 15 years of dirt and grime from the filter box.

The foam fit but it’s exorbitantly priced, “whistles” and lacks adhesive
This kit has a 1/2 inch thick x 3/4 inch wide piece of open foam weather stripping that fits properly but it’s probably worth about 50 cents. It also has 3 thin pieces of fiberglass insulation for other models of Aprilaire filter doors and the original plastic foam filter “box” that are also worth about 50 cents. The two yellow pieces of fiberglass are for the original plastic box filter carrier, NOT for the door. The single, larger piece of fiberglass is for the old version filter doors and you won’t need the foam. I have the upgraded metal slide in frame that takes the 213 filters so the 3 pieces of fiberglass in the kit are useless for the Aprilaire 2200 with the upgraded filter kit. My original Aprilaire 2200 filter door foam on the inside of the door turned into a sticky, glue like mess. It was difficult to remove the old foam from the door channel even with various tools, solvents and vinyl gloves. The new kit instructions (see photo) say you need 3M or similar adhesive for the foam (not supplied). See my photo with the arrow pointing to that requirement. There is NO 2 sided adhesive tape on the back of the foam stripping, it has to be glued in place and the customer has to supply the glue! I actually have 3M adhesive in my shop and I applied it and carefully and evenly pressed the new seal in place. I replaced the door on the filter and now the furnace sounds like a “dog whistle” when it’s running - open the video, turn up the volume and listen. This kit doesn’t seal properly, it added noise to the furnace and is worth about $4.99, not $45.00. The final kick is that it lacks the adhesive for the foam. Now that it’s glued in place, I can’t even return the product. My advice? Don’t buy this - get 1/2 in thick x 3/4 inch wide open cell weather stripping that has adhesive on one side for $5 and pressure fit it in place. Good luck! Aprilaire is profiteering and supplying an inferior product at the same time.
