This book is definitely a keeper. It is very well written I teach drawing class $6.95. You cannot beat this price. It is very well written highly recommended even if you have special needs student. This would be an easy book for them to understand. I would say that this easily itโs a lot better than Walter Foster. Books. Highly recommended. Kudos to the artist and authors that wrote this book you did an amazing job.

Good info but distorted images of faces at the beginning
The first pages of the book that show proportions of the head that are distorted - much wider than a typical head is. The rest of the book shows clear examples and easy-to-understand info. Even advanced artists can use a back to basics book like this. I knew there would be "practice pages" but thought there would be something more on them than totally blank pages. I could use my own paper for that. This book is a good idea but not as well done as I expected.

AI Slop
Books seems to be drawn/written with AI. It will never help you learn correct proportions of the face or how to draw them correctly.

Simple helpful guide to portraits.
I liked the simplicity of the approach of the book and good guidance on the parts of the face. However parts of the book fell short of what was expected. Eg. Initial faces were too wide in proportion (page 1). Parts of the face were split into fifths but the right hand rule didn't match up. Bottom of lip was labelled as bottom of nose?(page 2). Towards the end of the book, the page headed Complete the Drawing Challenge, the INTRODUCTION has a complete jumble of erroneous type. However, I still like the book in spite of the lack of proof reading and feel it's well worth the money.
