Automatic Chicken Feeder Timer and Duck Feeder, 16 Group of Timed Poultry Feeder Great for Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Pigeons, Fish, Dogs, Fish, Cats

I used these automatic feed dispensers on 35 gallon barrels and they are working great to feed my livestock. They were easy to assemble and the timer had plenty of options.

It took a minute to figure out how to get this to work, so I will give a few tips to save you some headache. (Used to have chickens, now have fine quail feed probably similar to started chicken feed). 1. The plastic tube extender is terrible, food gets stuck in it. I would trash that and use a 1.25 PVC pipe for tube. At first, that didn’t work either until I increase the angle, basically raising up the bucket so food wouldn’t get stuck in that either. 2. I am using very ground up quail feed, and it wouldn’t go through the feeder tube, it would just get stuck, even though the feeder spindle was spinning. I use some purple insulation to create a funnel, it seems to be working 100% better now. 3. Directions seem tricky at first, but it’s fairly easy once you get used to it. Overall, it works great, I tried using a cat feeder to dispense food, and it got jammed. The goal is that I can head on vacation for a week and have food and water for my girls. Hope this helps.

You can easily attach to a 5 gall plastic bucket, I used an upside down tomato cage as a stand. The programming took some time to understand

Perhaps this is for feeding your chickens or ducks while you are away? Can you believe there is no battery back up for the clock and timer?? If you're on vacation and the power has an interrupt, no more food for your flock.... My 1970 digital alarm clock had a 9v battery that prevented this! I know the battery would not dispense the food/turn the motor but it COULD hold the time and timer settings! I'm floored that this feature is overlooked.... Such potential. Returned.
