I had a backflip on my last truck for 16 yrs. When it was new and I was younger it was great. Over the years it got very heavy to flip the second and third section. Thou it was a good cover and it did last the 16 yrs until I just traded the truck in. Figure it must have gotten waterlogged. It may have been Bakflips 1st generation cover. This retractable is so nice! I’ve had it for a couple months. I’ve been moving furniture and found it’s much nicer to be able to have it retracted and not be covering the back window when I need the full bed. So much easier and classy to open it with a gentle shove from the tailgate instead of flipping down the side of my truck. The leash can get in the way when loading, but not a big deal. It’s built well. Everything is aluminum. Side rails and cover is all aluminum. It locks. Can be opened without opening the tail gate. It’s just as secure as anything inside the locked cab. Maybe even safer with no glass to break to get in. Looks fantastic in my opinion. It’s just as waterproof as all the others on the market. It leaks a bit in the two corners by the tailgate but nothing serious. It’s easy to keep anything dry by keeping things away from the corners. I also have a bed mat. Almost no water gets on top of the mat. It’s got drain tubes I have flow Thu opening in the bed or they drain under my mat. No leaks down the rails or any part of the retractable cover. I learned that it’s the latching mechanism that’s the biggest difference between other company’s. I picked this one and am not disappointed. There is a short learning curve on how it works. But it’s all one handed operation other than it takes two hands to pull it closed with the leash. I recommend you pay attention to the way all the covers on the market latch when picking a retractable. It’s was a very fair price compared to others and I’m happy with the the latch so far. It’s all metal with a key to unlock without opening the tail gate. Or you can open it while locked with the mechanism on the underside you can use with the tail gate down. My tail gate locks with the doors so the bed of my truck is always secure. Best price I found at the time. Seems there is a few variations of this exact model under different names. The latch looks slightly different on the others color wise. But you can tell by the configuration with key and button they are all basically the same manufacturer with a different brand name. I noticed for my 25’ GMC there was a variation where the drain tubes from the can are routed to the sides instead of down. That would have worked a bit better for my truck. But not a big deal. And it may have left water in the tubes to freeze. More horizontal to get to side opening in bed. For the short time I’ve owned and used the bed of my truck I recommend this one. There are install YouTube videos of this exact cover. One guy did a great job with his video. I used the method of setting the whole thing up on 4 sawhorses so I didn’t have to work on the ground. My wife helped me put it in place. I just used a 2x4 to span between the rails in the back for her to lift both sides with from standing in between them. We are an older couple and it worked out great. Little tricky connecting the side rails to the can and getting the cover started in the tracks at same time. Watch the videos. I also doubled up on the foam strip that runs along the front of the bed. I think that was a good modification to seal up potential water leaks. There is enough included in the kit to do it. Maybe I was supposed to anyway. I actually installed it without using the instruction Much. Between the video and pretty self explanatory it’s easy for any DIYer.

I found this retractable tonneau cover to fit my 2024 Chevy Silverado EV WT about 3-4 months ago and was very pleased. There are very few hard covers that will fit the SEV and most are priced in the $1500-3000 range which is well more than I am willing to pay. But before I pulled the trigger, it was suddenly listed as “Currently Unavailable” with no projected availability date. I was finally able to contact the company and they claimed it would be available again by the end of November. I kept checking until finally it showed up again in mid December, complete with a $100 increase in price! I ordered immediately anyway since nothing else comes close price wise. It arrived on time and installation was relatively straightforward, even though the instructions are lacking in reasonable detail. Build quality looks good as does the styling and general appearance. Action is smooth and retraction is automatic, which I did not expect. It’s a great edition to my Silverado EV and I recommend it to others.

Great quality tonneau, works perfect and looks great on my 2026 GMC Canyon AT4. Assembly was not as painful as expected either, although definitely look up the video by DIY Jim on youtube before starting to save yourself time trying to decipher the instructions. I was able to install it as a single person (5'7" 160lb male), but obviously with 2 people it would've been easier. Total assembly and install time was a little over 2 hours but I also wasn't trying to rush it. The t-slots are a plus and let me install cross bars for bike and ski racks. Overall great value and definitely feels and looks more expensive than it is. Fingers crossed on durability.

I have to say that the quality of the Tonneau itself was pretty good. The parts all fit together correctly, screw holes all lined up, and the cover fit on the bed of my truck as I wished. On tonneau itself, I would have given it five stars. However, it loses a star on the ease (or lack thereof) of assembly. To begin the confusion, the manufacturer had included the wrong assembly instruction manual in the box. At first, I thought they had sent a tonneau for another brand of truck. However, the customer service representative figured out what was wrong and e-mailed me a .pdf of the correct manual. The customer service guy was first rate, though the 14-hour delay between his time zone and mine slowed things down. After I got the correct manual, installations began. The manual is very hard to understand, apparently a translation from Chinese to English problem. For each step of the process, I had to sit with the manual, the parts, and my truck and figure out where each part went. It took a lot longer than I ever expected to get it on, with several "one step forward, two steps back" occurrences. After getting the tonneau installed, it looks very good and works properly. It hasn't rained yet, so I'm not sure how well sealed it is. Overall, for the price it is a very good value. Just be prepared for the process of installing it.

This is an amazing tonneau cover. Works well, keeps water out, looks awesome. I have owner several over the years and this is the best one for looks, performance, and security.

Great fit, easy to install, durable, great price

It's been a week, so far so good. I'm pleased with the quality. It looks and feel solid and well made. Took me around 1 day to study the installation methods and 6 hours to install, only because I have knee issues. The price is the best also. Got the black Friday special. The net weight is about 85 lbs after installed, but it arrived 104 lbs if you count the box packaging and extra accessories they included, so it seemed very heavy at first, I don't notice any negative effect on my mileage from the cover's heavy weight, maybe the aero dynamics from the cover negated the extra load. The weight is roughly about the same with other Tonneau retractable brands. I was worried with extra weight at first, but then deciding to go with vinyl or plastic covers was more worrisome because I leave valuable items in the bed sometimes. I like that they provided other extra accessories which I did not need, that was thoughtful of them. I was also able to exchange messages with their customer service for support and questions like I found out that it is easier to unlock the knob underneath or press the key lock if you pull the cover a little bit first. Money well spent or should I say invested. I find myself looking back at the cover all the time, it's feels amazing to look at everytime.

For the Money this Cover is great. Was easy to install. Instructions were not too bad. The fit was perfect. The lock doesnt seem to work when you push down, but I think its my problem, Minimal leakage even with bad rain. Very Lightweight
