Great timing and a lovely intro to South Korea! My tween is obsessed with K-pop and is doing a social/arts study on the country, so this book came in useful. Though unlike the library books we gathered, this is very general, covering all aspects of Korean culture. It is also very light on details and misses the opportunity to add phonetic spellings of words. That said, it's easy to follow for younger readers, colorful for interest, and the quizzes make it interactive.

Starting this book with my daughter beside me felt like opening a tiny window into South Korea’s vibrant world. The playful facts, colorful illustrations, and kid friendly explanations kept her curious on every page. I loved how culture, food, and history were woven together in such an inviting way. A joyful, engaging introduction to a fascinating country.

I was quite interested in this book as I live in Korea. It gives a fairly broad intriduction to the country but not detailed . Just about Ok for someone who knows nothing about the country. It is big and colorful with a mulltiple choice quiz section at the end of each section. The book is sunny and doesnt dwell on any negative aspects if the country which is fine. However sometimes it us completely wrong. For example tigers have been extinct in Korea for over 100 years and no longer wander the forests as the book so cheerfully states.

I enjoyed and was impressed by reading about the geography, history, culture, transportation, food and famous sites. The activities at the end of each chapter - quizzes, and fun facts focus children on a trip to the country and add a lot. The practical tips for anyone visiting and interested in South Korea are extremely important and helpful.

I recommend this travel guide for anyone who is traveling to South Korea, or wishes to gain more knowledge on this country. Inside, there is anything from fun facts, must see places, pictures to view, and even quizzes to take to help you better retain everything you are reading.

Everything about South Korea is a great little book for kids that covers everything from the found of Korea to Kpop music. It is colorful and full of interesting facts that will keep your child entertained. I feel they found the perfect balance in terms of providing meaningful information while not bogging it down and making it feel like a textbook. If your child has any interest in South Korea or just other cultures in general, this would make a great gift!
