Item arrived early. Very easy set up to the home WiFi. Clear viewing and easy to access

Works great! Awesome price too. But power cord not as long as previous model.

Dont buy this. Device would not connect. Tried over a dozen times to different networks, at different frequencies, using different security protocols, etc. Even did a factory reset. Called customer support/ internet live chatted twice -- worthless. Their suggest was (reading off their script), unplug and replug the device, try a different network, call your ISP and ask them.. Useless tech support. Basically now a worthless paperweight on my desk. Would give it a zero out of 5 if I could since it DOES NOT WORK.

They work very well. I replaced 2 older cameras.

Easy to set up and connect. While it does have the ability to do 1296, you have to select it while actively viewing the camera. It automatically resets to 720 as soon as you leave. The app has an issue (on android) it will randomly refuse to open a camera while switching between cameras. I have to close the app and restart to access the locked camera. The motion auto-tracking works good at a distance, but if the subject gets too close it gets confused and wanders in a random direction. There's no way to select areas to ignore in motion tracking so it ends up watching either the TV or the ceiling fan.

The only one that consistently lets you have a camera system without paying a subscription I hate that everything requires a subscription guess it’s part of that own nothing and rent everything agenda

Excellent upgrade from an older model. Able to scan and move from phone.

Was hoping to get another DCS-8515LH but seems this is its successor. Feels more cheaply built than the DCS-8515LH but so far it's close enough for my needs. I'm giving it a 4 because it gave me a lot of grief during installation. The description does not state it, but the device ONLY WORKS ON WI-FI V6 ! If you have an older modem/router running V5 then forget it : it will never connect and never tell you why. I was on my way to return it when I noticed wifi V6 on the box and tried it with a compatible modem. The problem was then solved.

Easy to set up. Great picture quality.

Took a lot of effort to get this camera to actually record motion. I ended up getting it to finally work by doing a factory reset. I doubt the resolution is really 2K since it doesn’t look noticeably better than my old 720p Dlink camera. Build quality seems questionable as it is very lightweight. Object tracking is very jerky when tested. I don’t otherwise use this function. Overall for the price it’s not a bad camera. I’m using it to monitor front door/porch activity through a window. Would be better in black as the white causes a reflection in the image. I do get a lot of false triggers likely caused by sunlight. Definitely don’t pay full retail for this camera. If on sale for under $60cdn it’s a good value May 13/26 follow up Camera has gone offline 3 times now and only way to get it back is to unplug for a restart. Pretty concerning if relying on this camera when on vacation. Definitely a downgrade from my DCS-8515LH. Will contact D-Link and consider return or request replacement
