The base unit is simple, but its real value shows once it’s paired with the mobile app. Although the instructions recommend the Tuya app, we connected it to SmartLife since we already use it for other devices. SmartLife recognized the thermometer immediately, and its features match the Tuya screenshots shown in the listing. Through the app, setting temperature targets—either manually or by selecting a food type—is straightforward, and monitoring each probe’s reading is intuitive. This unit works well and is easy to use. The display area is large and clear. We had a wired unit before. The old one still works but it is much more convenient and easier with a wireless unit. You would need two AAA batteries to power the machine.
