It is NOT made in Germany, despite the item description. China instead.
I received this as a Christmas gift this year. I specifically requested this Philos version as the description said it was made in Germany (now changed....). Turns out it is made in China and not what was expected. Very annoyed.

Top Spiel für unterwegs - gerade für Flugreisen perfekt geeignet
Ich habe das Spiel kurz vor unserem Urlaub gekauft, da ich nach langem mal wieder Bock hatte Backgammon zu spielen unser Holzspielbrett aber zu groß war für den Koffer. Das Spiel passt wirklich überall dazwischen und ist superschnell aufgeklappt. Einziger Nachteil: Die Lederdreiecke wirken erstmal optisch und haptisch sehr hochwertig, sind aber für das Spielen an sich eher uncool, weil die Steine dadurch auf einer unebenen Fläche liegen und somit teilweise verrutschen.Trotzdem schönes Reisespiel, was sehr kompakt daher kommt.

Stupendo. Bel prodotto, rifinito bene. Pedine di dimensione corretta per l'utilizzo. All'inizio rimane un po' sollevato un lato dopo lo srotolamento ma non è un problema, basta mettere un piccolo peso poi con il tempo si ammorbidisce e non è più necessario. Le istruzioni riportate all'interno sono eccessivamente stringate ma su internet si trovano facilmente. Amazon rapidissimo nella consegna come sempre

Tavola da backgammon morbida, srotolabile. Bisogna ammorbidirla un po' però fa il suo utilissimo lavoro.

Das Spiel riecht ein bisschen nach Kunststoff und liegt zunächst nicht flach auf dem Tisch durch das Einrollen. Der Geruch verschwindet jedoch bald und durch die häufige Benutzung lässt es sich nun auch flach legen.Ein guter Kauf!
