Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - Standard Edition (PC DVD)

Great product

Tried several times to install even with a new Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW. Couldn't get past disk 3 without a Transfer Error and loss of all progress. Amazon fortunately reimbursed me a total refund. I tried several things suggested by Microsoft chat to install MSFS 2020 10 disk but no luck. Also contacted Aerosoft who made the physical disk version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and they offered some help which also failed. I purchased the digital 40th Anniversary Edition which I later found out is the updated and current name for the MSFS 2020 version. Works perfectly....

It only works on one computer. Once you use the code on one computer, that's it. I spent 10 hours loading on to my new laptop and when I entered the code , it said it was already used, so a lot of wasted time. For $100 it should be able to be used on a new computer, specially if the original computer quit working.

This flight simulator requires that you open and maintain an online MS account. I returned it for a full refund.

After six plus hours loading ten dvd’s worth of data into my new PC, I finally came to the last task: type in the redemption code, then download the “software launcher.” The code went in fine then - uh oh - an error code! “Something went wrong. Try again later.” No software launcher! So, as instructed in the “handbook,”. I emailed support. Nothing. Emailed support again- nothing. Emailed Microsoft simulator support - you guessed it: nothing. So now I’m out $100 and have nothing. Done with MS. Waiting for X-plane 12 to arrive.

I could not get the program to load and I took it to my computer repair man and he had problems with it also. For the number of years you had this program out for sale there should not be any gitches or problems.

im giving the simulator 3 star only because im not a fan of digital games i like owning things if i buy , ok im here to help anyone that is having trouble installing msfs standard , copy all the disc in a folder called flight simulator then put the first disc in your dvd drive once your explorer pops up locate the msfs disc 1 right click press copy then double click your microsoft flight folder then right click inside folder and press paste and repeat the process till all ten are copied, Take not if any disc end up with erros clean the disc with warm water wipe down with a smooth piece of cloth then go back to the folder that matches the disc u cleaned delete anything in that folder if any and repeat the copying process, After you copied everything get your product key ready and goto microsoft account sign in then go back to disc 1 folder find the setup icon double click . Your microsoft account should pop up and follow the directions

Having been an owner and pilot of a Cessna 150M I found the Standard Flight Simulator 2020 to be really excellent in authenticity. Training in their Cessna 152 brought back many fond memories. I would recommend it to anyone interested in actual flight experience as opposed to an arcade game. Using just the keyboard isn’t enough. You do need at least a good joystick for control.

It took a long time to install. Fine, it's a big program. However, once installed, I could not get controls and other stuff to work reliably, and I am very, no EXTREMELY disappointed. I spent almost $1,000 for flight controls that I put away until my frustration level goes down.

The product itself, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is a masterpiece. Beautiful graphics and realistic animation make it a joy to use. I'm running it on a off-the-shelf HP gaming PC equipped with a i5-10400F and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER and it's very smooth. I've had 5 different versions of Flight Simulator over the years and this one surpasses the previous one (Flight Simulator X) by a quantum leap. The 4 star rating is because I bought this DVD version to avoid needing to download the version you usually buy online, which is a whopping 90 GB. Well...after taking a few hours to install the 10 DVDs and firing it up, it checks for updates (which it always does upon startup)m and proceeded to download a 77 GB "update", which took over 24 hours. Another 4.7 GB update followed a day later. Obviously the DVD edition would need to be refreshed to a newer version because it must be way behind the current version. Another issue is that it requires DVD #1 to be inserted in the drive every time you start up the program. To avoid wear and tear on that DVD I tried making a copy of it (you need a double layer writable DVD) and leave that in the drive (and safely stored my original with the package). That's working fine so far. Another issue during installation to watch out for is that you should turn off autoplay on your DVD drive in Windows. The first time I hadn't done that and I got several CRC errors during installation, and it aborted on DVD #9 (ugh). I turned off autoplay and restarted the installation...not a single error. Great game, and a bear to install!

Je ne comprends pas que ce jeu qui est tres difficile a (downloader) soit mis en vente et qu`a la reception, on trouve dans le contenant, un article qui nous avise que beaucoup de clients ont des problemes avec ce jeu et que l`on nous donne des avis sur la facon de peut etre regler ces problemes. Je me demande pourquoi ce jeu qui, cause des problemes a l`acheteur, soit encore vendu ou, que l`on le retire du marche jusqu`a ce que les problemes soient regles.
