Outstanding and Unique , you Must have it
As an internist and is going to attend Cardiology fellowship program soon , I highly recommended This book , Actually its my First reference in EKG .What's more, Dr.Grauer focuses on making the reader understand why an EKG tracing looks the way it does, and does not rely on memorization of the morphology to justify a diagnose. This is critically important, because once you see an EKG tracing, you clearly understand the details of the pathology showed and that gives you a precise idea of what's happening inside that patient's heart and what treatment can help the patient's outcome. This book has greatly enhanced and unique sections ,Clinical Use of Lead aVR lead, Identifying the culprit artery , how to recognize fasicular block in presence of other conditions , and how to localize the accessory pathway, more and more …, with fully enhanced pictures .It has many exercise to improve your knowledge especially acute MI practice tracingThis expanded version is 260 pages and spiral bound, easily carry in a lab coat pocket as a ready reference .Dr Grauer is a world-class teacher of EKG. I watched his lectures in the YOUTUBE and his Blog .They were really instructive and informative. I found his book to be different from most classical EKG books and even cardiology books in the sense that it is like a ready reckoner of EKG interpretations, with lots of practical advise, and tips in a concise manner.I would strongly encourage anyone who has had trouble grasping the concept of EKGs to pick this book up, and that includes physicians, resident, , EMTs, fellows , ANYONE who wants to learn or improves his EKG skills! I give it my highest recommendation

Another Winner from the Emeritus Professor
Read the book today, read ECGs with more confidence tomorrow. Well, OK, this is the new, expanded version, so take a few more days to read it if you wish- but the point is, this is the book you need if your goal is to interpret ECGs rapidly and accurately. Additions to the previous edition have been well documented by Ankur, the first reviewer, and others. I also like the additional information about how to use (or not use) computerized ECG interpretations and the updated information about the significance of lead aVR. Dr. Grauer has given us an expanded and improved version of ECG Pocket Brain that, presented with his trademark style, greatly simplifies learning, understanding, and remembering ECG basics, and more importantly, stresses the necessity of consistently using a systematic approach that will allow you to interpret the vast majority of ECGs that you will come across without missing something important. This expanded version is 260 pages and spiral bound, but still compact enough to easily carry in a lab coat pocket as a ready reference. Refer to the ECG Crib Sheet on the last 2 pages now and then for a quick review, and use the page references provided there for quick retrieval of more in-depth information. But don't stop there- go to Dr. Grauer's ECG Blog and check out the wealth of information there. Challenge yourself with his ECG Competency Test. Take a look at his ACLS books. Wish all this had been available when I was a medical student.

Amazing Book - Must have for those with ECG interest!
By K.G.C.I have been an RN for 32 years, with special interest in the field of cardiology. I have followed Dr. Grauer's books on ECG/Arrhythmias/ACLS for years, and have bought most of his previous editions. His newest book, ECG-2014 Pocket Brain Expanded is perhaps his best book yet! It greatly expands on the previous 2011 edition of his ECG pocket brain by much more in-depth discussions of basic ECG topics such as bundle branch block, hemiblocks, chamber enlargement, and ischemia/acute infarction. The figures are plentiful and surprisingly clear for a small book. The print is easy to read - and use of spiral binding with Contents on the inside front cover make finding whatever you are looking for a cinch. The concise ECG Crib Sheet on the back 2 pages (just inside the back cover) provides an easy-to-find welcome reminder of the key ECG diagnostic criteria for the various entities. This book has been updated with inclusion of Wellens syndrome, giant T waves, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, hypothermia and more. User-friendly discussion has been added to help predict the infarct related artery. In summary - the amount of information included within this small book is no less than amazing. I highly recommend it for readers of any level in ECG interpretation.

As reviewed by L.J. Castleman, Family Physician
This full color volume by Dr. Ken Grauer is an excellent follow-on to his primer volume "A 1st Book on ECGs-2014" in modern 12-lead "EKG" electrocardiogram interpretation. This spiral bound book provides examples of a broad range of various abnormal cardiac disorders as manifested in the 12-lead electrocardiogram. Together with an understanding of the principles and basics of electrocardiography, this book provides a handing and useful guide in wading more rapidly through the possible myriad of cardiac disordered functioning, as manifested on the 12-lead elctrocardiogram tracings, there upon arriving more promptly at the most accurate interpretation, and diagnosis, of the disordered cardiac functioning. One might then most promptly pursue the most appropriate management and teatment of the cardiac disorder. This book might also be followed, with benefit, by this same author's more advanced full color guide book, "ACLS Practice Code Scenarioo-2013," outlining the updated protocals for the management of a broad range of various cardiac crises and codes, as they are manifested in 12-lead electrocardiogram tracings clearly presented for these crises.
