Pure nostalgia I can share with the kids
I remember K’Nex from when I was a lad, 20 odd years ago and it hasn’t changed a bit (bar maybe a few micro pieces). I’m finally able to indulge in nostalgia and share the same creative engineering fun with my children. This stuff will take you as far as your imagination will stretch & then some. There’s plenty of guides on Instructables and other websites that display some of the mad things you can create. My daughter is especially fond of the race car, using the bendy rods. Same fantastic quality as I remember, and for 200+ pieces it’s a fairly good price. This is only the start of what I plan to be a large collection for my kids, and hopefully their kids too.

Very dispointed, I should have looked at people's photos
Regretfully this is not the product I expected. Granted I have a memory of Knex but I didn't realise they had started making such small pieces. If you look at the photo I have uploaded of what's in the box you can see the large and small peaces. Nearly all the pieces are small and all the official images of builds are only using the big pieces. This box is almost completely empty, which is very dispointing if given to a child. I assume it's not considered a chocking hazard to 3 years and above (stated in instruction book) because most fo the pieces are so small they would pass though unnoticed. Also you should realise that of the 522 pieces 135 are small pieces of tube you can put over other long pieces for cosmetic reasons. This 135 pieces are not building pieces just cosmetic. I would say most of this pack is not suitable for any child that does not have perfect motor controls. I'm 33 and I have trouble getting the tiny pieces to fit together. There are some full size pieces which is good, but not many.
