Taste wasn't that good

Yummy and delicious! Truly hit the spot at this year's Burning Man. I grew up in Idaho and love elk jerky but my camp mates had never tried it. Needless to say they all loved it and I only got a few pieces after sharing. But I'm pretty sure I helped create more elk jerky lovers and am always happy to share.

I make a lot of deer and beef jerky, and I've had really good elk jerky in the past. I haven't been able to get ahold of any locally for a long time and my kids had been asking for some since the last time I found some it was amazing. Found this and decided it would be a good stocking stuffer idea. I gave it 2 stars because even bad jerky is pretty good, but this stuff is not very good as far as jerky goes. It was pretty dry , small amount for the price, and had a funky (tangy and old?) flavor. My family tasted it and nobody would even finish their package of it, so I ended up eating most of it myself because I'm cheap and stubborn and refused to throw it out. Shipping was quick, even right before Christmas during a supposed pandemic.

We went out west and all my dad asked for for us to bring back (he was cat sitting for us) was some elk jerky. Retail store prices were too high, so we ordered him this. He never questioned us, so it passes off as store bought jerky in case anyone is wondering.

The product tasted ok, however it was very very hard to chew. Not soft at all. The portion was also extremely small. I've had delicious, soft, large sized elk jerky made from my hunter friend but this stuff doesn't even compare to store brand beef jerky. I guess that is what I get ordering elk jerky off of Amazon.

Do not waste your money

The best deer jerky ive ever had.

It goes well when you're camping, hunting, fishing.
