Hagibis knows what they're doing. This is the second enclosure I got from them and it looks awesome, works perfectly, and comes with a tool and heatsink, everything you need.

Feels really nice to the hand, and its cute cause it looks like a windows folderi did however order the 2230 version and ended up with the 2280 version but i wont complain as it does the same job with no hassle or driverdo wish it came with a small thermal pad to put on the top of the ssd inside to pull any heat to the metal shell

Cute but I should’ve bought something of higher quality. My SSD isn’t being detected

I really wanted to like this Hagibis “folder-style” SSD enclosure. On the product page it looks clean, minimal, almost playful, like a tiny desktop folder icon brought into real life. In reality, it is a cost-cutting exercise dressed up as clever design.Let’s start with the build quality. The white paint finish scratches absurdly easily. I disassembled it once to install the drive and reassembled it carefully, and it already had visible scuffs. That is not normal wear and tear. That is fragile coating.The edges are another story. There is barely any polishing or chamfering. The edges feel unfinished, and worse, they will scratch other items if you toss this into a bag. For something marketed as portable, that is a pretty fundamental oversight. This is clearly where manufacturing cost was shaved.Now the M.2 installation. Instead of the standard angled insertion you see on most motherboards and enclosures, which is easier and safer for the SSD, this one forces the drive to slide in almost flat. It feels awkward and unnecessarily risky, especially for anyone who swaps drives occasionally. It is a small mechanical decision, but it reflects the overall design philosophy here. Form first, function second.Then there is the screw situation. The enclosure uses a different screw type than the typical M.2 screw. Sure, they include an Allen wrench, but wait until you lose it. Now you are hunting for a very specific tiny tool instead of just grabbing a standard precision screwdriver like you would with almost any other enclosure. Another small decision that becomes annoying in real-world use.Thermals are basic. A silicone pad presses directly against the outer metal shell. That is essentially the entire heat dissipation strategy. It works in the most basic sense, but there is nothing refined or thoughtfully engineered about it.And finally, the “folder” illusion. If you install a standard 2280 M.2, which most people will, the enclosure becomes much longer than what the product photos imply. The proportions in the listing are misleading. It does not resemble a neat little folder icon once fully assembled with a longer drive. That aesthetic hook, which is clearly the main selling point, falls apart.Overall, this feels like a product optimized for product photos, not for actual daily use. If you care about durability, thoughtful engineering, and accurate representation, there are better M.2 enclosures out there.

Een SSD-behuizing in een vorm van een map op je pc of in mijn geval een Mac.. En ook nog in geel. Mooie uitvoering. Netjes afgewerkt. Moeilijk was om de juiste SSD M2 kaart te vinden die hier in past. De gele versie is groter dan de blauwe versie die ik ook had aangeschaft. De blauwe heeft een veel kortere SSD kaart nodig. Ik heb er uiteindelijk een gevonden een 1 TB versie. Het monteren is niet moeilijk. Het losschroeven is geen probleem, Het vastmaken vergt wel geduld.Eenmaal aangesloten op mijn Mac Mini Pro start het direct op. Wel voor de zekerheid de SSD kaart geformatteerd voor de huidige Macsysteem. Leuk hebbedingetje!
