Realtek RTL881AU chipset means driver is not standard but supplied minidisc works and then uses built in windows wireless management. No external aerial means low gain but I managed a impressive 45Mbps in my enterprise acn network, dropping to less at distance as expected.All in all a good solution if you don't want the aerial sticking out of your device

Literally plug and play with a newer Windows 10 PC. Recognised dual band networks coming from a Wifi extender and connected without issue.However no joy whatsoever trying to install drivers on an older Windows 7 PC. Tried the Win 7 drivers on the disc and from download link. They just crash half way through installation. Might be the age of the PC but disappointing nevertheless.

We found this product worked very effectively on a Windows machine but we could not persuade a Macintosh computer to recognise the unit, despite it being within the operating system version range advertised.

This USBNovel Wifi dongle isn't worth the multiple star reviews it's received. It doesn't fit well in the USB ports. Its USB connector doesn't fit the PC's USB port tightly and seems to be too "heavy" for these ports. Even without touching it, it would sag after a day or so. I've tried it on 2 PCs and 1 laptop. All these devices are new. As a result it keeps on losing the Wifi signal. Nothing is more frustrating than this happening in the middle of downloading files, streaming, installing an application or simply doing one's network-related work.I would have given it a zero star if that was available. I kept on trying it on different devices, giving it the benefit of doubt and as a result was too late in returning it. Thus, I can't claim my refund.So my advice is, avoid this product to save yourself unnecessary misery.

This adapter has transformed my Macbook WIFI speeds for the better. Before I was getting less than 2mbps and now I'm getting between 30-35mbps from my fibre connection. I thought I was going to have to replace my laptop. Only negative comment is that the drivers for the adapter are supplied on a mini cd-rom which a Macbook superdrive doesn't accept. I tried to locate the drivers online to download but they aren't available. I had to transfer the files onto a separate USB drive using another PC. Once the driver is installed it is very easy to setup.

Arrived next day - Windows 10 recognised and installed it immediately (driver disk enclosed but not needed). Using it for desktop only approx. 10m away, separated by two walls - full signal. Only 4 stars as don't know its performance over time yet.

We hoped it would solve an irritating wifi issue, the dongle is good quality and is fine but he still has an wifi issue, will keep it.

Working well so far. I see people have had problems installing, this was not the case for me. Follow the link provided and install before pluging into your usb.
