Makita 197898-5 Reusable Dust Bag

I was using the disposable bags but they seemed to fill up so quickly! I was wasting money! I much prefer the reusable bag, where the dust can be simply dumped out into the trash and you’re good to go!

This little filter is definitely the right way to go! The downside is that it’s too restrictive. It needs to be a lower thread count so air flows through better.

Being reusable is a plus but little dirt they really plug up fast.. bags are by far way way way better for long time high Suction. These are good for saw dust but not super fine dust or saw dust

A hopeless idea, fine dust sticks to the sides of the bag, the remaining dust and larger particles lie at the bottom of the bag. The bottom of the bag adheres to the filter, which effectively blocks the air flow and thus the efficiency of the vacuum cleaner. In addition, the material from which the bag is made has too large pores through which fine dust can penetrate. Which very quickly pollutes the filter and thus blocks the air flow. The filter surface is too small for such a vacuum cleaner, so the working time is too short. Makita engineers, sleep in your design offices while designing?

It’s a great product because you could reuse it over and over again rather than disposing…

After prolonged use of this bag in comparison to the original fabric disposable bags, you lose a lot of suction with these bags

$60 for a tiny vacuum bag, lol. 100% a scam, but the quality is good and better than the disposable ones. It's washable also under clean running water. Just let it air dry overnight. 1 star deducted for the scam price.
