Is this as good as having seperate sprayers for ceiling and walls ?

Yes, does it all, large hopper and works perfectly by simply adjusting the air pressure

Can a 5.0 HP compressor can make this machine works?

we used for shotcrete concrete mix. it worked great, wish the hopper was a little bigger but overall super. I would say a 5 HP compressor is a bit light. we had a 185CFM compressor on site. we went with a large tip. need to measure by the CFM and not HP.
