What is the interior depth? Only shows the exterior depth at 1.8inches...

On the 10" 10" box the interior distance is only 1" from backing to glass.

I was hoping for a 12x12 case for a specific spot on my wall but this is actually 13x13 frame size. Other than that it looks well built and I'm hoping to find another use for it.
