Genius!
This is absolutely brilliant. I bought it for my son, who bikes to work and back, often after dark in heavy city traffic. This light is visible at a couple of kilometers and defines a bike path as he rides. The peace of mind it gives me is priceless! Plus, it clips on and off the bike so there's no danger it will be stolen when he parks the bike on the street.

I am happy with this product
This product performs two functions. One is as a tail light, the other is a laser that paints lines on the ground creating the effect of a bike lane. Initially only the taillight function worked and the laser light bike lane function didn't. Later I swapped out the batteries provided by the manufacturer (they were nearly dead, but I didn't know) for new ones, and the laser light function worked great. You will need a tiny Phillips head screw driver to removed the screws the change the batteries. Product works well.

mounting ring broke in half
after which the light fell off and unless I found one in my supply bag I will be unable to use this light for the purpose for which it is intended - nice lanes on the ground though if it would stay put on the bike. It also rotated around the bar to which it was mounted so I know the breakage was not a result of being "too tight" on the bar. I had one toward the rear and another toward the front so no one could miss the visible lanes at night including pedestrians.

X-Fire works great
I have not installed it on the bike yet as we have a lot of snow, but trying it out by holding it I would say it works just fine. The 3 screws to install the batteries were very difficult to remove. You do want to be careful reinstalling them. I can no longer find the ad, but it had a bike icon also projected, yet this is not true. It would have been cool to have it, but the lane markers work great either in steady or blinking mode. The LED tail light has choices of steady and strobe or flashing all of which are highly visible. I did have to wait the full month they predicted to receive it, but they warned me. I have no idea why so many reviewers had bad experiences as I am extremely satisfied so far. It may well have been the particular supplier I went through for this.

Very eye catching and therefor useful
The lanes are really really eye catching which is the whole point of a tail light. And they are not annoyingly bright either. And they do suggest to drivers how much room they should give you. Kudos!
