Lasted nearly three years of hard use
I bought twice (first one got lost in the mail) used it rather roughly (heavy gaming & work) for two years & 10 months before certain keys started to fail/malfunction like the arrow keys & space bar. So the durability is on par with way more costly gaming keyboards I've bought in the past. So with 40K+ hours of use I got my money's worth out of it. Lighting is fine however purple is the brightest color to use, and blue is the dimmest color to use in the dark. Touch sensitivity is fine for a less than thirty dollar keyboard. I just ordered a new one right before posting this review.

amazing keyboard, 6 years of hard daily use and still counting.
I have had this keyboard for just over 6 years and it still works great, the only issue I have is that some of the key identifiers have scratched off over the years. It only effects the appearance, but given the abuse this keyboard has faced for the last 6 years Im amazed. I use it every day for work and I use it on average 6-8 hours a day and it is still fights on. I love the colors, they are nice and bright and but overwhelming, the keys have a great feel to them when using them for typing, because it is USB it connects without issues and has a nice mechanical sound when typing. I love it and am blown away by how long it has lasted.

Review after using this for over 2 years....basic, reliable, keyboard, I recommend it.
I bought this in February of 2019 as a keyboard for a laptop I was using as a desktop. Since then I built a system to use for personal/office and light gaming. I moved this board over to the new rig as it was one less thing I had to purchase. I have been using this now for over 2 years (March of 2021) and it's been a reliable keyboard and pretty much done everything that I have needed it to do. For $18 that I paid for it, it was well worth the cost and has gone above and beyond in it's service thus far. There is no clear mechanical "click" when you depress the keys but it's good enough. If you have worked on any keyboard that has shipped as OE with an HP or Dell in the past and were fine with it, this will be enough for you. I am typing this review out on it now. If you are picky about the keys having that mechanical feel when you depress them, this is not the keyboard for you. The footprint is compact and it has no real edges or frame like a traditional keyboard which is nice as you can take canned air and just clean the keyboard of errant debris like dried skin, sesame seeds from a bagel you ate over the board or any other dust or stuff that has collected amongst the keys. If I had any complaints is that there are only 3 color choices for the lighting red, blue or purple. The red and blue are a bit dark and in regular room light it's a bit dim. The purple, since it uses both LEDs is brighter so I have it on purple most of the time to make the keys more visible. There are some keys that are not lit up completely (e.g. the "enter" key, the "r" is not as bright as "ente", "FN" key is not as bright as those around it) but for an $18 keyboard I am not going to complain (though I guess I just did). The light key is too close to the rest of the keys so I do inadvertently press it changing the LED color which honestly is not a big deal. Other than that I really cannot complain much more about this keyboard. If you are looking for a basic, reliable and inexpensive keyboard that is backlit, this is a good choice.

100% Recommended
Great keyboard. Came 100% functional and felt more valuable than it's price would suggest. Very comfortable for every-day use. Love the size and spacing of the keys. I've had it for more than 2 years now and it's still going strong. Few keys now squeak or have ghost typing but that is due to heavy use. I cannot recommend this enough. Great purchase.

Bright, Fun, and Comfortable to Type On
Bright, Fun, and Comfortable to Type On This Rii RK100 backlit keyboard is one of those budget-friendly finds that feels like it should cost more than it does. The first thing that stood out to me was the colorful LED backlightingโitโs not just cosmetic, it actually makes it easier to type or game in low light. The lights can be cycled through or turned off, which is a nice touch for when you want a more subdued look. Typing feels very comfortable. While itโs not a true mechanical keyboard, the โmechanical feelingโ keys do have a satisfying responseโfar better than many standard office keyboards Iโve used. The spacing is good, keys donโt feel mushy, and I didnโt notice much fatigue even after extended use. For casual gaming, it performs well: responsive enough for light to moderate gaming, though serious competitive players might still prefer a true mechanical option. I also appreciated that itโs plug-and-playโno drivers, no setup hassle. Just connect it via USB and it works. The extra multimedia keys are useful shortcuts for volume, music, and other quick controls, which adds convenience if you use this at your desk for both work and play. Things to keep in mind: the keyboard is plastic, so while it feels sturdy enough for everyday use, itโs not built like a premium heavy-duty gaming keyboard. Also, the lighting isnโt customizable by colorโit cycles through the preset tri-color layout, which looks cool but isnโt as flexible as full RGB boards. Bottom line: A great budget keyboard that blends fun design with solid everyday performance, perfect for work, school, or casual gaming.

This keyboard can be fixed if it stops working, but there is definitely a QA issue.
I was initially quite impressed with this little keyboard. No, it's not perfect, but for the price, I can live with most of its' oddities. Then, two months after purchasing, my keyboard stopped connecting to my laptop. After looking it up, I found I was not the first customer who experienced this, but I may be the first to find a fix. Here it is: *Symptoms* When plugged in the keyboard briefly lights up but does not accept input. You can, however, use the special 'color' key to change the lighting (or turn it on to verify we have the same symptoms). Maybe 5-seconds after being plugged in, the keyboard goes dark, this is actually because Windows is not recognizing it and so the keyboard acts like the computer is in sleep mode. *Fix* We need to make Windows recognize the keyboard again. To do this, we'll make Windows re-install it's USB drivers. Note: You may want to take a backup of your machine before this. Re-installing USB drivers is safe compared to other drivers, but better safe than broken. I am in no way liable for what you choose to do. 1.) Make sure you are connected to the internet so that the drivers can re-download later. 2.) Right-Click The windows button on your Taskbar and choose "Device Manager" 3.) In the window that appears, expand the list for "Universal Serial Bus controllers". (I'll use USB controllers from now on.) 4.) Right-click any item in that expanded list (I picked the one ending in "(Microsoft)" ) and choose "Uninstall Device". 5.) Accept the prompts and wait for the uninstall to finish. 6.) At this point, the option for "USB controllers" was completely gone, so I rebooted. May not be necessary. 7.) After the reboot (or perhaps just by plugging them back in) Windows should automatically grab the needed drivers. Unfortunately, it will need to do this for ALL your USB devices, but it doesn't take long. I was all set at this point, but, just in case... 8.) If that hasn't worked go back to Device Manager, right-click "USB controllers" and choose "Scan for hardware changes" 9.) Failing everything so far, go back to step 4 choosing a different item from the list, or maybe just try the keyboard in a friend's computer. *Conclusion* I have to knock off a few stars because there is no reason I should have had to do this process. This was the only device that wasn't working and I'm not the only reviewer with this problem. I guess we'll see in a few months if this happens again; if it does, this rating will drop more. That said, this review was typed on my Rii keyboard so I'm content for now.

6 years and going strong
Ive had this keyboard for 6 years now, and I love it! It still works fine, but I use it for work, so just recently the ASDE&C buttons are worn and I just mean the letter itself has worn off ,mechanically it works fine.. trying to find out if I can just replace the buttons..

All in all, a very solid keyboard so far
Received promptly, was packaged appropriately. It goes to show that I didn't read the entire name of the product when I ordered it. Main reason for purchasing this was the price which was appealing. My surprise came a day or two after I received this keyboard when I hit the sun icon and changed the color from the initial red to blue then purple then no light and back to red. The quality I have observed is great but I've only owned this keyboard for just over a week. An issue I've had with other keyboards especially my built in laptop keyboard was that tiny materials tend to get stuck under the keys or they just plain get dirty over time and are hard to clean without risking damage if you're not so careful. Thus, the raised keys not only let the visually appealing lights shine through, but they mean cleaning is much easier; not that I'd be doing that this early. The feel of the keys was another good factor while using it. Staying true to the gamer aspect of things, your typical AWSD keys have a bolder font to them. The function keys up top also lend to ease of use when it comes to knowing what they do. There might be some hesitation when it comes to the keyboard being wired or wireless. There was no such trouble when it came to having this keyboard be wired, the cord is long enough. All in all, a very solid keyboard so far and I'd consider purchasing another one and bringing it to my workplace and swapping out the boring old keyboard with this one.

A good and affordable keyboard
I am very satisfied with this keyboard. It has everything that I deem as essential and even includes RGB lighting (with quick options to adjust brightness). The only small issue I found was the short cable but I have customized my desk so it wasn't an issue for me personally. This is a good purchase.
