Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Extra Large 10 Quart Portable Slow Cooker

Love this, deep for large meat items and veggies with room to spare. Temperatures are amazing. The lid seals fantastic!

I have a smaller Hamilton Beach slow cooker for 10 years It still works great! I got the 10 quart delivered today because I'm making a very big batch of seafood stew. I love the fact that the handles clamp on to the lid for an extra seal. The lid fits perfect and this was easy to use right out of the box. I've been taste testing my stew and it's excellent, I'm cooking it on high and it should be done this afternoon. There are three temperatures, low, high and warm. It heated up quickly for me.

Simple and familiar! I bought this crockpot for my airbnb. Guests have already noted that they are so happy we have a classic slow cooker with easy to use settings VS one with a ton of digital options. The quality is excellent for the price, it cleans well in the dishwasher even with stuck on messes, doesn’t take up too much pantry space, and the locking lid is perfect to prevent accidental spill after cooking and keeps the lid on when stored so it doesn’t fall and shatter. Would buy again, but hopefully never have to!

I didn’t realize this didn’t have an indicator light on it. 😜. When I plugged it in and turned it on there was no light. I thought it didn’t work or my electric was out in that socket! 😜 It does work great and high is HOT. Love that it is very large and has different temperatures. Great for big gatherings or making large amounts of homemade sauces, soups, roasts, etc.

The weight of this is something most people won’t have to worry about. I purchased this because I’m disabled and can’t be bothered cooking every day. I wanted something that I could use to cook a large meal on the weekend that I can eat all week by reheating portions in the microwave. This slow cooker is wonderful, but it is quite substantial. I didn’t consider that I might have issues lifting the porcelain portion out of the slow cooker when I’m ready to empty the contents into a large storage container. If your issues are similar to mine, I would suggest buying a large ladle, spatula or some other tool to help you move the contents from the slow cooker to your storage container. The only other issues I have with this is that there’s no indicator light that lets you know that the slow cooker is on and working. Also I’ve had slow cookers in the past, and most of them had a timer of some sort. This one does not. You have to be mindful of how long your food has been cooking. It will not switch-over to warm or shut off once your food is done. Your attendance is required. The temperature does get very hot and the food does cook fast. I usually put stuff in here frozen solid, and it was thawed and cooking in a shorter time than I expected. I would suggest leaving the unit on warm if you’re going to be out for the day. This is a good unit but be mindful of these things. The plug has a reasonable length and has only two prongs, not three. Did not blow the electric fuse in my studio. I like it!

I absolutely love this crockpot for when I am making a big batch of food for a big group of people. Standard crockpot liner bags fit it as well.

Love this Crock-Pot! I love cooking in the slow cooker and I love to cook in volume as I am usually cooking for four people sometimes more. It is very simple to use and quality has not suffered with this brand. I love the black as it definitely gives the product more of a sophisticated look. Storage is not a problem in my kitchen cabinet as I keep it down in the bottom cabinet with a few other appliances. For the price this is definitely a great product.

This was a used (or at least not new) item but no problems with condition or cleanliness, just the carton was kinda shredded. The large size was just perfect for my intended use, preparing foods for pressure canning. The unit runs on the hot side, as do all the newer slow cookers, but just fine for me and even on 'keep warm' bubbled enough to leave me with no worries when pressure canning 18 pints of chili. Well done, would buy again (except I don't need two). Two thumbs up.
