The best hot air dryer I've had
I've tried a few hot air dryers now, but this is certainly the easiest to use and gives the best results. The dryer has very soft bristles and, used without the rotation on, doesn't really grip the hair, but once the barrel is rotating it grabs the hair and dries it just like your hairdresser would. Just clip up the top section and start drying the underneath first, working one section at a time. It doesn't tangle and leaves my hair beautifully soft and shiny. My hair is just below chin length and quite fine but with natural kinks and a mind of its own! This version has the smaller size brush, but it is still quite large and I wouldn't think it suitable for very short hair. It gives lots of volume to the style, so if you want poker straight hair keep your straighteners handy. I dried my fringe and it ended up an inch above my eyebrows - great for when your fringe needs a trim - but I brought it down to earth with a quick flick of my GHDs! Some reviewers have commented that it is unreliable and broke soon after purchase. I've only had mine a few weeks so can't comment on that, but as the product comes with a three year guarantee I would say keep your receipt with the instruction book in a safe place and you are covered.

Great little product
I have previously owned and used the Babyliss big hair with the larger rotating barrel. This was ok but too big for my just below chin length hair. The slightly smaller version is much easier to use and means I can get right to the roots. I love it and would thoroughly recommend it. A really useful hair tool. It really makes a difference to your blow dry and gives volume, shine etc. You do still need a hair dryer to part dry your hair first of all and I still use straighteners as well, but not as much! It's great for touch ups between washes and you can use it with hair products. I love John Frieda thickening spray for fine hair. This hair tool definitely adds volume and stops hair from being frizzy and fly away (I get lots of flyways!). The bristles do get a bit bent through constant use (well they did on the bigger version), but it still works fine. So I think this is great for shorter hair, but if your hair is much shorter than mine (chin length layers) the barrel will probably be too big. There are other products on the market with smaller barrels, but not babyliss. It also takes a little bit of practice to get right, but it's easy to use once you have the knack and virtually impossible to tangle up your hair (if it does just rotate in the other direction). There are some videos on you tube which are probably worth a look before you start using it. Hope this helps.

Really fabulous!
Firstly I have to say how very grateful I am that people write reviews on Amazon. Without them I would never have risked buying this, thinking it was pretty dear when there are heated curling brushes for under £20. I was also worried that, having long, unlayered hair, my hair would tangle but thanks to one or two reviews that talked about this, I realised that with a bit of patience I would work it out. Now I only got it today and have already tried it and have to say it is worth every single penny! One reviewer wrote they had not used their ghd's since buying one and I can see why. Somehow my hair seems much smoother and I have to say the soft curl is perfect and so easy to achieve. If it helps people with long hair considering this, here is a small tip until you get used to the turning action (to stop tangling)....just hold the ends of the section of hair you are drying. Having said that, I got used to the turning action within minutes and my hair did not tangle. It might if you rush into it so just take your time and it is easy as pie once you grasp the idea. I love it, like so many other reviewers, who I can only thank for their help in my decision to buy this styler, I hope my review will help others too.

Fantastic brush-dryer, I've been looking for this for years
I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair for years. It is curly, somewhat dry about 20 cm below my shoulders. It looks cute curly, but after getting out of bed, it is a mess. So for years I have resorted to a number of things most recently using first a hair dryer and then straighteners regularly. And it has been working, although my hair gets quite flat, but at least the frizz is gone. Enters this product. The first time I tried it, I was semi-successful, I took big sections of my hair and it ended a little frizzy, definitely necessitating the use of the straightener again. I am getting so much better with it, I manage to create soft curls, both in the front and the back, while keeping my hair very smooth and sleek - I kid you not it looks like I've been to a salon. I do final touches with the straighteners, but only for 2-3 minutes at key spots and my bangs. I do recommend using a towel before drying with the brush and even using a normal hair dryer for a hot second, so not to work with soaking wet hair. I use some kind of a heat protection product and a little bit of hairspray at the end. My hairstyle keeps intact for 3-4 days. Styling does take some time (for my hair - 30-40 minutes) and takes some getting used to. It could get a little messy with coordinating the direction of the brush rotation with the effect you want to achieve while looking at a mirror (orientation and direction are not my strongest suit), so you can expect some tangling in the beginning or if you have longer and thicker hair. Also rushing through is definitely not the way forward for curly frizzy hair - not sure how it works with straighter hair types. The brush itself is bigger than I imagined, my only concern down the line, is that the bristles are a bit soft and are starting to bend. So far this has not impacted performance - but I have been using it for about 2 months now. If it becomes a problem, I will update this review. UPDATE: My bad entirely for not using the pink protector, it works to straighten the bristles and protect the brush. All in all, excellent product, if you are thinking of buying a drying brush, make it this one, it's amazing! Edit (12.2016) The brush stopped working earlier this year. It doesn't switch on at all, the reason might be that it got jammed with the hairs which end up in the brush itself (there is a space behind the bristles and is almost impossible to clean). I have bought the bigger size from Babyliss, but I think I prefer this smaller one. Although it's not working anymore, I still love the product and would consider buying it again. As regards to the bristles, yes they bent just from using the brush, but performance wasn't significantly affected.

Burns
I have been using this for 12 months - it took a bit to get used to but once you get the hang of it it is so much quicker and does a nice job of my hair. I have straight shoulder length hair so not difficult to style. However, since I received it I have had to wear a glove when using it as it gets so hot and burns if I don't wear this glove. I am only writing this review now as a friend has bought one and hers doesn't get hot like mine does?? So not sure if there is a fault or if this is normal - I'm presuming it's not normal?! Also, in the last couple of days the rotation keeps stopping which isn't great as it's only 12 months old. So all in all, I'm not that impressed with it not lasting and the fact that I just accepted that it gets so hot but I'm now thinking this isn't right either.

Excellent tool
This is an excellent alternative to hair straightener. After styling with that styler, my hair looks like styled with barrel brush but it is so much easier to use as I only need one hand. I bleach my hair and hair straighteners always left it dry and damaged. This styler does not damage my hair and the effect lasts longer than straightening. The look is not exactly the same, as it gives you more volume (big hair) and after a couple of days there is not that much volume anymore, but my hair still looks nice. I have mastered styling in both directions and I can even make some curls. After the styling, cool air option really smooths my hair, as usually it is very freezy, but not anymore. Make sure to remove the hair from the brush after every use and never put it on a hard surface without the plastic cover, otherwise you can damage it and I am not sure if there are any replacements. I bought this brush when my hair was very short and as it grows, I can see there are even more ways of using it to style my hair.

BaByliss 2777U 42mm - great product!
I previously had the Big Hair Rotating Styler (50mm) which I thought was a good product although the barrel size was rather large for my hair and I found it difficult to get 'height' at the roots. I only bought that styler last September and was dismayed when only some 6 months later it suddenly smelt terrible while in use last week and promptly conked out! The same day, after reading the reviews on this site I ordered the 2777U model (which has a smaller barrel). I think it's a great product! I have very fine hair which is in a longish bob style. I have used the styler after using my ordinary shampoo and conditioner (John Freida hair thickening range)and also in combination with hair boosting products such as Bumble and Bumble Hair Thickening spray and GHD Root Lift. The results are noticeably different - if I use hair boosting products the results after using the styler are much much better and last longer. The styler itself takes a little getting used to but it is honestly worth the effort. I am pretty rubbish at styling my hair but the rotating styler creates a wonderful salon-like blow dry in a short space of time. As I've said, my hair is fine so doesn't take long to dry - I can get a sleek bob style in around 5-6 minutes. You do need to practice using the machine - at the beginning you can get in a pickle pressing the wrong rotation buttons, get your hair tangled up after selecting the fast rotation setting etc but after a few attempts the results can be truly amazing. I think this barrel size is ideal for shorter hair lengths and on my long bob it works a treat. I'd also say that I get less static with this styler than I did with the previous one. One criticism though - I wish BaByliss had properly described what sort of hair length this styler is more suited to on the box or on the general promotional info it gives before one makes a purchase - it only described this styler being more suited to shorter hair in the instruction leaflet that I got after making the purchase! It was only thanks to the ladies who wrote Amazon reviews that I realised this model would be more suitable for my hair - otherwise I would have probably just bought the same model as before. Other thing to say - re: the styler that broke down. Amazon was absolutely brilliant at dealing with the refund - easy to contact, really friendly and helpful - faultless service. Thank you to all the people who wrote reviews on this product as it helped me to decide on this model - that's why I decided to write one too.

Also eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
