what does it mean when it says (Renewed) ?

It can mean a few things. It can mean that the unit has been repaired & checked by Amazon. BUT you might get lucky & end up with one that customer returned bc they ordered too many or bc it wasn’t what the color they imagined or because they decided on an android tablet by another company. (In other words, an open box item.)

I have had some great luck with refurbs. But... I have also had some BIG disappointments.

I bought a “renewed” Kindle that the prior customer didn’t bother to “deregister”. (In other words, the other customer didn’t follow the instructions on how to prepare a Kindle for return.)

After more than 6 hours over several days with multiple customer service reps & tech support people, it was became obvious that there was no way to register the product. (Wiping the memory DOES NOT wipe the prior registration. This is an anti-theft protection.)

Amazon gave up & offered to replace it with ANOTHER REFURB. Well, the problem was I had bought it during a big sale, and that sale price was no longer available. (Oh, by the way, I discovered that there were several customers who received refurbs that had not been deregistered by the prior owner.)  By accepting a replacement refurb I was running the risk of receiving another Kindle with the same issue!

I opted to buy a new Kindle. I should have bought a new one to begin with. By the time I bought the new Kindle the sale was over so I was not only stuck buying the higher priced new item - I was stuck paying full MSRP. I was not a happy camper.

Anyway - let this serve as a cautionary tale to others.

Can you play the xbox one games on the  xbox one x?

It's fully backwards compatible, and can play Xbox 360 also (games that have been ported over to run on Xbox One).

It comes with a different box labeled "certified refurbished" but still has similar aesthetics as the original box.
