How do you get the battery compartment open? I pressed the clip at the end but nothing happens.

Does this whistle have a tendency to stop working like the Windsor whistle?

I've never had any issues with my whistle to stop working. It's always working when I turn it on. Has a good, loud sound. Use mine all the time for soccer games.
